I'm of the very firm belief that the Fabius Bile trilogy by Josh Reynolds (Primogenitor, Clonelord, and Manflayer) are amongst the very finest of works from the Black Library and I'm currently working on my Chaos Space Marine army based around some of the themes of Fabius Bile's 'Consortium' and the Emperor's Children legion. Essentially, my army isn't looking to represent the Consortium of the books but my own ragtag band of hedonists, misfits and deviants who have fallen into the orbit of Fabius Bile (or he has fallen into theirs). I love kitbashing and coming up with some bits of my own fluff so this is just as much an excuse to create lots of little characters as it is anything else, but, I need to get the hobby momentum going as there's lots to build and paint. My timing couldn't be much better as part way through the project, we have the new 10th Edition Codex Chaos Space Marines and the announcement that there's going to be an Index for the Emperor's Children! Can't wait! I'll use this post as a bit of an introduction one and something that I can come back to and amend to as a bit of a hub once more things actually get built and painted!

Hi all! I'm wondering what tournament lists would you make with a Creations of Bile army and what ways can we counter today's meta?

Hail Fraters, I've recently dug out my old CSM and I'd like to field them again. I dont play competitive but still want a list that can do some "stuff". Most of the time though I play gainst my sons' Death Guard. Those are not really optimized (no terminators or PBC for instance) but we just want to have a decent game while we kill each other. I have the following models: Old chaos lord (that metal dude with the powerfist in the air) Fabius Bile + retinue (old as well as new) Deamon prince (metal!) wings + sword 20-30 CSM (ok, legionairres) with various equipment. Some heavy bolters/chaincannons, etc. Have enough left over models to make some (10?) possesed. 2 dreads with scourge (also metal :-) ) Predator with lascannons all the way (3rd edition I think) 30+ terminators (metal! If you sense a theme now, you might be right) with varous equipment a Tzeentch csm, usable as sorcerer or whatever wizard is the most useful. No cultists at the moment altough I might use a bloodbowlteam (3rd edition)/old WHFB minis as substitute cultists. If needed. I'd like to have a blob of terminators and use a dread. Or 2. And perhaps the DP. I'd probably need the cultists then or I run into a troopshortage (or use too much points). And Bile. I'd really like to use Bile. 1000-1250-1500? points, 50 PL or perhaps 60. Our normal gaming table is the kitchentable, it's slightly smaller than normal. But that's the way it is, and the reason we play smaller games. Also, big games cost a LOT of time. Espescially if you're not a regular gamer and still have to look up rules. Paint scheme at the moment is pink/purple with gold trim. So it looks like EC but I dont have any sonic weapons, however I'd gladly take the Slaanesh mark. Any takers?

Well I have come full circle, four years ago I joined B&C just to partake in the Call of Chaos with my Slaanesh army and oddly enough the we have a Slaaneshi theme this year (its almost like the gods willed it) so naturally I will be vowing units for the god of PVC and boobies. For those of you who are new or are unfamiliar with my previous Slaanesh offerings you might notice that I am 'slightly' obsessed with the Hellraiser movies (and comics and action figures), and naturally the third incarnation of my force will be no different. This time I will be dipping my toe into other things for inspiration as well, like the classic 80's movie (and the more recent prequel) The Thing, Event Horizon, Silent Hill and the artwork of Niko Nikizar, Paul Gerrard (his book 'Company of Shadows' has loads of great art in, well worth reading) and Hieronymus Bosh amongst other things (got some good things off google when searching 'Body Horror'). Some of the things that I want to try out will be a Helbrute with a design similar to the Lament Configuration (the Hellraiser puzzlebox) on its sarcophagus (unless it drives me mad and I end up microwaving it), a Herald of Slaanesh using a Bloodletter as the base mini and a Rhino with tortured fleshy faces over parts of the hull. So this year my vow will be Keeper of Secrets Herald of Slaanesh Daemon Prince of Slaanesh Helbrute x6 Warp Talons x6 Noise Marines x6 Possessed Rhino Contemptor x6 Chosen and here's the before pictures (everything will be stripped/repainted).
