I really know what it means to create mini by mini, and can absolutely see your commitment and skills !

 

 

 

 

But allow me one question: Where did you get those Helmets !? :)

 

Those are exactly what my ph projects would need !

I'm guessing the 'Honorable' unit is going to have older Marks of armor. Just my guess though.

Yup, older marks indeed :D.

More progress. I'll be building the left arm from scratch, using the servo-arm from servitor kit as model. I blue-tacked the arm to show how, it'll look like.

Paintscheme I've been wondering would be like this:

-Red armour

-Brown boots and gloves

-Cream cape and hood

-Dunno about pants... maybe black

And I tested the cream color with good old Asmodai.

Out of pure curiousity, how did you make up the Adept anyway? Cadian plastics with GS and plasticard?

Thanks mate :P, you seem to be waiting for the moment when I'll crack up and start new army :lol:. Let's see what parts did I use... older editon night goblin torso and head (both were cut to smaller size), plastic scout legs (remember 2nd scout I made recently?), random marine arms (particularly shoulders), fantasy battle chaos warrior gloves and boots, and of course plasticard and green stuff :P.

Nice use of assorted parts Kik, a very simple kit-bash for a unique looking mini. Good to see you still remember how to paint red too :)

Ok, not so much progress in last couple of days, I had two games, lost twice :P. Both were 1.5k matches, for the 1st match I had assault commander with me, and lost annihilation match only 4-3 killpoints, and for the second I traded captain for devastator squad in razorback. I got slaughtered, 6-1 killpoints, where I got the only killpoint by chasing squad of dire avenger off the table ;). Funniest fact is that my 2 Ironclads got most of the kills (5-6 avengers on first turn, but fire dragons destroyed dreads right after that), and second most kills got the drop pods :D:lol:.

But I got lil' update after all.

Aaand I started yet another side project, man I got tons of these... Honour Guard will come along with this.

Yup, a truescale marine. After seeing Lamenters fantastic 'Artscale' marines for 1000th time, I finally got myself to start one :).

Looking forward to seeing the Honour Guard as they are slowly created, although i suspect they will be nothing short of amazing!

Haha, thanks TAS. It's good that I'm not only receiving ideas but giving them also :lol:. Oh, the honour guard will be decked out with ton of special equipment, making them way overpriced to be used on any of my games :D.

Anyway, I'm slowly starting to get comfortable with this so called green stuff :P. Time to give myself endorsing pat on the shoulder.

I have looked through all 29 pages on this topic and i got to say i love your Iron hands (has inspired me to start doing my StormGhosts again) and i really love all the converstion work for the bionics, i thing i have said it twice now, but WOW, these loo amazing and the whole force together would win my vote anyday.

Yup, I'm back. I went to Stockholm cruise and returned yesterday. So not huge update this time, some sculpting I managed to do before the cruise and some today.

I wasn't happy with the original pose at all, and after 3rd rebuilding I managed to get acceptable pose.

Some minor detailings done, cables on legs, leather tabard and finally got somewhere with the shoulder pads.

And yes TAS, Truescale marine puts even the terminators to shame... average AND modified :lol:.

The HG marine looks great. I assume with his tabbard you'll take the very 'Tech-marinie' look about it? Can't wait to see the rest of the squad form up :)

amazing work, i have an iron hands army myself and the bionics tutorial you have done is a great help to me thanks for showing how you have done yours. you have a pic of 2 dreads together one is converted from a chaos one could you show some pics of it up close as i think it looks cool ;) i have to say the paint sceme you use is great i might use some gold on mine now i have seen yours i tend to do just black with metal bionics, and weapons and white wings

Thanks mate :). I think that mk3 armor has lil' metal tabard, if I interpreted the references right. Truescale marine will be Lamenter, in honor of Lamenter.

Glad to be assistance, I'll be taking some pics of wb dread later this evening.

As I earlier mentioned that truescale marine will be from Lamenters chapter. After spraying basecoat and couple thin white coats, their legendary bad luck strikes yet again.
