No Worries FallenLion! It took me a long time to even figure out what pieces were supposed to go where. It snowballed from there, hopefully. :) Keep it up, and the CoD pieces are very nice.

Like usual, I tried to get a picture while posting.

Soon I will be able to have enough to put them on a lot of my marines. :)

Is that gray putty milliput? I was just curious as to what you used to make the push molds. I would also like to mention that I have some of the old imperial fist upgrade parts, shoulder pads, chainswords and assorted bits if you need them. Drop me a pm if you want them, I have no use for them.

Yes, that is Milliput. I used to use Green Stuff, but I realized that it was a TOTAL waste!

So I've found that using milliput works, and its cheap, and I don't use it anyways. <_<

Thanks mick. ;)

Thanks for the advice Xepher. The flash things from 40mm bases is a great idea, though that'll make him too tall :)

I'll think about him some more.

Being able to make 5 molds at a time has really gotten me cooking. So productive :)

http://i379.photobucket.com/albums/oo234/shortsonfire80/IMG_1411.jpg

But now, its time for the return of the Exterminus. The detailing of the top has finally commenced. Panel lines, rivets, and armor plates are whats in store for now. I'm still in the planning stages, though basically running in the dark with this one. I think what I have so far is a good chunk of work for 2 hours..don't you think? Hahaha. There are a lot of distractions going into this last burst of work, mainly this computer. :P

Unfortunately, (I don't know how it happened) the original 1.5mm thick plasticard that I had intended for use as the top piece of my Land Raider is extremely warped. Like...extremely. Originally, there was a circular 'bubbly spot' in the center, because I put it on the only flat spot left on my desk...my external harddrive. Which spins, and gets hot :P and melts plasticard.

http://i379.photobucket.com/albums/oo234/shortsonfire80/IMG_1412.jpg

So with that fail, I had to come up with something else (it was too thick also...very too thick)

I started with something thinner this time. .25mm thick (probably...too thin... ;))

http://i379.photobucket.com/albums/oo234/shortsonfire80/IMG_1413.jpg

After thinking it over, I made another sheet of the same shape, and layered it on top. This looks almost thick enough to be considered Land Raider armor. Finally. And I'll be working my way back with other Land Raider-esq shapes as well.

http://i379.photobucket.com/albums/oo234/shortsonfire80/IMG_1416.jpg

I know it might not be too much of an update, but I'm just letting you all know that I haven't hit a mojo-less wall (yet) and I'm slowly bringing this behemoth back to life.

(And Tychonaut, I will be keeping the Thunderbolts. I figure, I spent $100 on this tank alone, $130 for a plane thats much more awesome isn't that big of a deal. :) I'll just complain if and when the plastics come out)

Edit:That top piece isn't glued on yet, I'm waiting for the previous one to dry. Hence the crookedness.[/color]

Sachiel: Alright. So I guess gun in hand is the key then. I'll work on that later.

Keravin: Thanks. The more votes, the better :)

Xepher: I tried to make it as symmetrical as I could...(old photo)

http://i379.photobucket.com/albums/oo234/shortsonfire80/IMG_0983.png

Marovian: I will finish it, at an undisclosed time.

Novogord: Eventually mate. Eventually. :)

So...unlike the last 2 sentences above....All progress on minis has halted. :P I received a baggie of goods from a friend Bklynpnk who has given me all his Chaos Marine bitz for some orks. This could almost (almost) double my bitz collection. Some of the bitz I can use, but not all...

http://i379.photobucket.com/albums/oo234/shortsonfire80/IMG_1417.jpg

http://i379.photobucket.com/albums/oo234/shortsonfire80/IMG_1418.jpg

And after countless hours of sorting...Arms, guns, heads, shoulderpads, bodies, icons, backpacks and vehicle pieces...

http://i379.photobucket.com/albums/oo234/shortsonfire80/IMG_1420.jpg

http://i379.photobucket.com/albums/oo234/shortsonfire80/IMG_1421.jpg

And these guys, which I have no idea of what to do with..

Novogord: I think I may do that. I sorted the bitz again, in two more categories: Loyalist/stuff that could be converted to loyalist, and Chaos that I'll never be able to use. I'll probably use the weapons and backpacks mostly. Some of the arms with chainswords too.

I gave the guy 5 Sneaky Guyz (always forget the name), 5 Burnas, and 10 nobz. All new on sprue. It may have been a lopsided trade, but I can't use orks (at all) and although I wanted to sell, this deal was sweet, and right in front of me, so I went for it. :)

Marovian: I wouldn't dare start a new army. My lack of ability to finish one army is limiting me to only one.. :( And its Chaos...sick, stinky chaos. :)

So I've tried the next plate again. This time, a single sheet of .75mm card, instead of 2x .25mm cards. I'm breaking away from the flat surface, and I hope that I'm doing it in a right way that still holds the Land Raider's theme (I don't know what theme I'm talking about...its just a thought.)

I realize that my initial cuts were lopsided, unmeasured, crooked, and bad, which in turn made EVERY OTHER cut worse. Snowball effect. So this most recent top plate isn't even, its longer in some parts and shorter in others, and crooked. Something I'll have to try and fix later on :D

I know that the angles from the side of the Land Raider to the top (you know what I'm talking about, the 45º angle from the side wall to the roof) is going to be way off, which is something I'll also tackle later, with sand paper and a file..or 6.

And the layers...thats a problem too. I'm attempting to layer 3 identical cuts on top of each other, and since each cut isn't exactly like the previous, I have layer marks...something I'll have to try and file down then save with Green Putty (gap filler.)

http://i379.photobucket.com/albums/oo234/shortsonfire80/IMG_1423.jpg

http://i379.photobucket.com/albums/oo234/shortsonfire80/IMG_1422.jpg

Let me know what you think. I'll probably wait around...18 hours from now before I glue it. So I can get an adequate amount of comments (2) before I make adjustments (or not) and then glue, and proceed to the next layer.

Thanks guys. ;)

Thanks GI. Unfortunately, I won't be adding more exhaust pieces. I won't have any space to put them anywhere. Last time, I showed them on the track section, and we agreed that it wouldn't normally fit there. So I don't have the space :)

So during Physics today, I sketched up the way I want to layout my pieces. and add rivets, and panel lines etc. Looking at the real Land Raider now, I'll have to change some rivet positions later.

http://i379.photobucket.com/albums/oo234/shortsonfire80/IMG_1424.jpg

When I got home, I instantly started cutting. And I think it turned out pretty okay. :)

http://i379.photobucket.com/albums/oo234/shortsonfire80/IMG_1425.jpg

http://i379.photobucket.com/albums/oo234/shortsonfire80/IMG_1426.jpg

I think I'll start gluing soon. :D

Edit: And exactly one half hour's worth of work...

http://i379.photobucket.com/albums/oo234/shortsonfire80/IMG_1427.jpg

So I glued the top piece on.

http://i379.photobucket.com/albums/oo234/shortsonfire80/IMG_1431.jpg

And man...those layers I was complaining about..what an eye sore.

http://i379.photobucket.com/albums/oo234/shortsonfire80/IMG_1432.jpg

So I very slowly cut them off, took quite a while, but it actually wasn't tedious. I was pretty excited to be at the moment where its all fine detailing now. :D

http://i379.photobucket.com/albums/oo234/shortsonfire80/IMG_1435.jpg

And thanks to Green Putty.

http://i379.photobucket.com/albums/oo234/shortsonfire80/IMG_1441.jpg

And helping my dad at our apartment rentals. I was able to fill all the gaps left by the cuts. My father taught me how to patch holes in walls and stuff, using a putty spatula. So I did the same thing with an extra piece of plasticard. The Green Putty fills the gaps, then I screech it off, and its left in all the spots that aren't flat. Once it dried (2 minutes) I sanded it down with 600 grit sand paper.

http://i379.photobucket.com/albums/oo234/shortsonfire80/IMG_1436.jpg

My next task is now angling all the top plasticard to have the beveled edge of the Land Raider.

http://i379.photobucket.com/albums/oo234/shortsonfire80/IMG_1439.jpg

http://i379.photobucket.com/albums/oo234/shortsonfire80/IMG_1440.jpg

I have a lot to do... ;)

While I'm here, what do you think about this? I'm thinking that the fists may be a tad large for the launchers, but I want some advice. :) I could always replace some skulls with them instead.

http://i379.photobucket.com/albums/oo234/shortsonfire80/IMG_1430.jpg

AND! While I'm here, I'm looking for 4 of these EXACT thunderhammers. (Maybe you can see where I'm going with this :) )

http://bitzbarn.com/oscommerce/catalog/images/SMAssTermSrgThunder.JPG

AND! 2 of these Storm Shields. (Maybe you can see with this too, but more vague. :) )

http://bitzbarn.com/oscommerce/catalog/images/IMG_2534.JPG

And...2 of these as well. :)

Thanks for the comment RAAM13. I'm planning this, in place of this. ;) More or less...

And yes Marovian, if you're looking, that was done in Physics again. :(

I spent a large chunk of my time last night and today figuring this out. I'm quite happy how it turned out all around, much better than before. I'll make groove lines and such tomorrow. :) Last day of school for the week! :)

Well, I finally decided to finish Telion. It was actually pretty difficult :( I don't like the arm placements at all, but I have no ideas on how to fix them! His left arm seems to be at an awkward angle (and his left hand seems huge (Its a SM arm, thats why  )) and his right arm seems to be pointing down funny...

But I am REALLY happy with the beard. :D When I went to take the pictures, I smooshed half of it with my thumb...I was sad...but it wasn't super hard to redo. :D

He's looking good man. I don't think you can do anything to the ponting hand without ruinng it so I'd just leave it and say it is his punching hand ;) .

As for the bolter arm, the reason it looks odd is because he has no upper arm: it's just a shoulder and fore-arm. I suggest you cut it and extend, and maybe position it so the ebow is bent forward a bit and the arm rotated in towards his body a bit, like he is ready to aim down it in an instant.

Haha, took me a minute to figure out what you meant by punching hand, but thats really great idea. :)

Yeah...I was hoping the arm would be okay, but...it wasn't. I will be amputating the wrist, adding a wire armature, then doing it all in greenstuff. Since the shoulderpad was separate.

As said in the other topic, it looks good :D .

Thanks Mick. :)

I agree with Mr. Bloodhowl. It's because of his missing upper arm.

Yeah. No thoughts on the chest fist? I was getting some not-favorites there. I'll be working on the arm later, hopefully.
