ODM returns

ODM, you are very good at painting. I know I said this before, but with your vehicles they are awsome. Maybe when you have time, you can make a step by step tuturial for us. Maybe start a DA mini, and start from the begining. Prime it, show us. When you start painting it green, when it's half done, take a pic so we can see the steps you choose.

I'm glad you like them. I'll try to do a tutorial next marine I paint.

I made some progress over the weekend on the crusader. Nothing exciting on the painting front, but got the sponsons completely built, primed and attached, which was nice. Not really worth a photo.

Yeah your crusader is looking pretty nice (As we usually expect from you).

On a side note, I did sorta finish the DA drop pods I was doing, still need to get back into them and do highlighting and build those racks you mount troops in.

But they bassed as painted on a recent tournament. (Though I was only done around 1:30 in the night before, so much for a good night sleep.

Here is the next step. The Melta Gunner is complete (except for the barrel scorching I just noticed), and you can see the metals on the side sponsons have a base coat and a wash. I'm kind of on schedule to get this thing done!

Glad you got them done. I feel for you.

Here's the next step done. The black highlighting and the details are done. Last, I need to highlight the hurricane bolters, and then do the weathering, and then the whole thing's done.

Thought I'd post a picture of my last in progress DA for a while. I'm going to take a little break and work on some other stuff.

The Master of the RW in his speeder. I whipped him up right before 'Ard Boyz, and only got the metallics and the base done, so the conversion itself isn't the best, but I have a soft spot for him after the tournie. Next step is to clean up after the whites, and then add the reds and other details, and then highlight the black.

Very neat and creative. I agree the enclosed armoured approach is a cool concept for Sammy. I've often thought the FW Tempest chassis would make a good basis for a Sammy conversion – looks like you’ve kinda nailed it :P.

So, what you working on instead of DA?? Fantasy or the day job :P

Cheers

Thanks guys, glad you like him.

I just have to clean up the black highlights and he's done. Hopefully by end of day.

For my next project I think I'm going to rebuild a guard army. I sold my Necromundian army, and now want to do another modern take on an old GW army, the Cadian 122nd. Here's a test model if you're interested.
