ask, as long as it doesn't detract from power armour too much and for too long, i think ( althought i can't really vouch for them ) they would elt you get away with it. They let daemons in, so why not use daemons?

thanks

Magnus was sat upon the Golden Throne, warp energies flowed through him like a raging river. The remnants of his legion, the Thousand Sons stood around him on the raised platform on which the command interface of the Golden Throne sat. Although the Emperor had managed to save the rest of his brother’s legions, his couldn’t be. The ‘Rubric of Ahriman' had turned the non-psykers into mindless automatons, only thirty of his legion survived. Although the addition of the former Blood Ravens chapter swelled the ‘Thousand Sons’ ranks, Magnus missed his former legionnaires.

“We’re ready to give our lives to save you if need be sire” Ahriman said, bowing low before the sated Magnus.

There was a conflicting look of calm and effort on Magnus’s face as he kept a giant warp portal from consuming Terra in the throne room.

“You question my powers? You question the Emperors belief in me to be able to protect Him and his work?” retorted Magnus.

“Of course not” Ahriman refuted.

Magnus nodded.

The Eternity Gate began to open. Great plumes of steam shot up into the air, as huge pistons drove cogs to open the massive Gate. Dozens of figures clad in dark red Power Armour with gold trim. Black tabards with intricate swirling patters fluttered as they moved. Some had open books chained to their chest; others had scrolls of parchment attached to their shoulder guards. Even from his raised position Magnus could make out the Blood Raven librarians.

More Astartes came through, this time clad in finely crafted ornate armour; the light danced across the polished silver surface. Scrolls of parchment littered their armour; cherubs flew over them releasing incense as they went. These were the mighty Grey Knights, Daemon Hunters, the chamber militant of the Ordo Maellus. Three thousand of them stood to attention.

Then came the Custodians in all their glory. They were led by their commander Constantin, Rogal Dorn and by The Emperor Himself. The gathered Grey Knights, Blood Raven librarians and Thousand Son sorcerers all knelt down in respect towards the Master of Mankind. Following behind the Custodians came the Imperial Fist legion, resplendent in their yellow Power Armour. However several thousand of them still wore the colours of the Black Templars; out of respect for Sigismund had allowed the Black Templars heraldry to remain. Even as the gates were slowly closing thousands of mindless servitors and a few dozen Tech-Magi each representing an aspect of science. Once inside the Throne Room many just stood there in awe, as they marvelled the many technological wonder that the Emperors Throne Room held.

As the Grey Knights, Custodians and Imperial Fists stood to attention the Emperor made His way up to the raised platform that housed the Golden Thrones command interface. The Thousand Sons were still bowed in The Emperors glorious presence.

“If I could Father I would bow” Magnus spoke, his voice sounding eldritch and not his own.

The Emperor looked a little concerned, “Do you need to stop?”.

“No, I will not fail you!” Magnus replied. His determination clearly visible. Arcs of warp power flashed across him, the Emperor moved towards him as did Ahriman and the Cabal of sorcerers.

“Release him” shouted the Emperor, two tech priests stepped out from behind the throne and made to release Magnus.

“No! I WILL NOT FAIL YOU” Magnus roared, for a second it seemed that the warp power would engulf the Red Cyclops but it seemed to burn itself out. The gathered forces below looked on in bewilderment.

Magnus began to laugh. “The Changer of Ways tries to claim my soul, I can feel its pathetic attempts Father. I will neither falter nor waiver. I feel a clear sense of purpose and duty that I’ve never felt before.”

“You are sure that you will not falter? That you will not allow yourself to be destroyed by the warp energies? You will stand fast in the face of Tzeentch and not fall to its corruptive ways?” asked the Emperor.

“Yes” was Magnus’s reply.

The Emperor nodded, his worries allayed by Magnus’s reply and demeanour and by His psychic probing of His son.

Sounds like the changer of ways has deceived Magnus once again, making him over-confident. Over-confidence leads to pride and pride leads to a man's downfall! ( note the sexism in that sentence, because all this kind of mojo is made by men ^^ ) ;).

I think... Chapters exclusive to the Ultramarines.

The Word Bearers definetely had chapters. Here are a few:

The Void-Master Tenaebron

The Opening Eye-Master Faerskarel

The Quill-Master Zadkiel

The Ebony Serpent-Master Skolinthos

The Burning Hand-Master Rukis

The Blinded Eye-Black Cardinal Kor Phaeron

Xenos teaser.

The massive Ork stood atop a mound of the dead, rotting corpses of other Orks. The Ork wore armour, the ‘Mek’s had taken it for an ‘Upgrade’; this was the fourth such occasion that his armour had to be re-fitted due to his massive bulk and constant hunger for battle.

Ghazghkull surveyed the scene below as his boyz looted the dead Orks. Ghazghkull let out a bestial, guttural roar that echoed across the land. Immediately all the gathered Orks turn their head in his direction.

“I am da prophet of Gork ‘n Mork! Green is mean! Toogetha we will stopm da ooniverse flat! Any boyz dat don’t like it will get stomped! Ya listenin?”

The Orks roared back in reply, a few weird boyz heads exploded as they build op of WAAAAGH! Energy became too much for them.

Probably not write much for a day or two, got my hands on the Space Wolf codex and i love it! I can already see myself fielding the mighty Wolves of Russ ;)

Thanks atin and the Thousand Sons, Blood Ravens, Imperial Fists, Grey Knights, Custodians and Emperor will feature soon... as will another Xenos race or two and a God or 3 :)

I didn't really like the ork teaser. It didn't feel orkish.

I will give you an example out of one of my stories, which may help. hopefully.

Amongst the green tide that was charging into the thin line of guardsmen was a large ork by the name of Nob Izgotcha.

“Oy youz der, getz oudda my way or iz croke ya. WAAAG….” Suddenly hit by a heavy bag, Izgotcha swears and picks up the bag to see what was in it.

What ork nob Izgotcha didn’t know was that the bag was fully loaded with frag grenades and a timer.

Shocked and shaken to its green core, Izgotcha could only manage a few words.

“Oh, shhhhhh….”

Orkz being very hard, well that's how they are portrayed anyway, and then they could be distracted by something and over react, Ghazghull may or may not react like that, but cracking a few heads might do the trick. LIterally

Its hard to do ork language as some words they say fine and others they don't, any ways its a teaser later tonight i will probably do that chapter. Always not gonna say more as it will ruin the plo slightly. Every thing i write i do for a reason, all will be explained in due course

Toogetha we will stomp da ooniverse flat! Any boyz dat don’t like it will get stomped! Ya listenin?”

The Orks roared back in reply, a few weird boyz heads exploded as they build op of WAAAAGH! Energy became too much for them.

“How da we know you\ telling da turf?” an Ork shouted, stomping forwards. He was a hulking brute, rusted plates of metal sheets hung off him as make shift armour. He towered over the Orks around him, in its hands the Ork held a huge double-edged choppa.

It bellowed a challenge at Ghazghkull and started to run towards him.

Ghazghkull just stood there and laughed a low and mighty laugh, he widened his stance to better take the charge. The other Orks just stood and watched.

Ghazghkull let out an ear splitting roar as he leapt at the Ork, too quick for its wild swing. With an almighty clash the two fell to the floor, the huge choppa sliding out of both their reaches. The two struggled with each other; fists flew as they battled for domination. Finally the pair came to a stop as Ghazghkull was not atop the other Ork, his massive left hand around its neck. His right fist slammed into his challengers head, there was a bone sickening crunch as his nose was caved in; blood splattered everywhere.

“I am da biggest!” Ghazghkull roared.

His fist slammed into his opponents face again.

“Da meanest!”

Another bone crunching punch

“DA GREENEST!”

This time Ghazghkull held the Orks face close to his, showing him his huge teef, saliva shot out from his fanged maw like missiles.

With a ear deafening roar Ghazghkull back handed his challenger. The resultant force decapitated the Ork; its head sent spinning away.

The mighty Warlord got to his feet and hoisted the dead Ork into the air with ease, blood poured out of its neck.

“Do I haf to zogg any of youz?” Ghazghkull challenged.

The Orks all remained silent.

“Well den! Let’s stomp da ooniverse flat and show da uthers why Orks is best!”

The noise was deafening as each Ork shouted till its throat hurt. Many more Weird boyz heads exploded as the channelled WAAAAGH! Energy became too much for them. A nimbus of yellow power shrouded Ghazghkulls head.

The Greatest WAAAAGH! had begun.

With a huge amount of force Ghazghkull backhanded the other Orks face, the blow was filled with a tremendous amount of force, enough to cause the head to fly off.

This doesn't read very well. Otherwise, keep up the good work.
