Requiem of the Wolf Posted October 23, 2010 Share Posted October 23, 2010 Sorry about the delay everyone,it has been a very long and difficult time but we are finally able to finish this. Wolf Guard Garm Ironhand won, defeating Brother Gromgol the Lost. The final duel began on the dawn of the third day. As the two champions stepped onto the field,the whole Hall erupted in cheers and howls. The pair saluted the Statue of Russ overseeing the circle,and then charged each other. Bolter shells impacted on Gromgol's chestplate,perfectly aimed but the ceramite armor he wore deflected the explosive rounds. Gromgrol responded by bringing up his Plasma pistol,tracking Garm's dodging back and forth as he charged. The superheated ball of plasma impacted Garm's hand,sending his bolter flying and leaving a ragged burn up his arm. The two warriors met in midair,Gromgol's hands catching on the haft of Garm's power axe,and the two feel to the ground,rolling over and over in a struggle for control of it. With a snarl,Garm began kneeing and elbowing Gromgol but his angle was off,causing the blows to not have the force necessary to crack through the armor. Gromgol responded by slamming his forehead forward,and impacting against Garm's cheek,shattering the bone. Gromgol's headbutt however,proved his undoing,as the forward momentum was enough to let Garm roll him off atop him.Springing to his feet,Garm swung the axe around one handed,bringing the edge to a halt a hair away from Gromgol's throat to the cheers of the crowd. The Grey Mage stepped forward,holding up his staff,his voice echoing throughout the entire Fang due to his Rune Magicks. "Behold,the champion of the Fang,Wolf Lord Garm Ironhand." (This fight was almost a one sided affair,with Gromgol getting a wounding hit in each round but the third,where Garm finally had enough and did a stunning 4 wounding hits,3 of which were unsaved.
