I'll be unable to come sorry guys for 2 reasons. Firstly I've just purchased all I need to make me have a chapter's worth of Marines(10 companies of 100 men), so I have about 1500 marines. That means finances are a bit tight due to this huge splash out. Also I'm going to be in the Staffordshire area visiting family most likely at the end of Jan, beginning of Feb.

Well I spent £2039 (a 6th of my inheritance, the rest is saved away) on 40 Battle boxes, 22 Razorbacks, 9 command squads and 4 Devastator boxes. That lot brings me up to about 1500 or so marines, I have like 220 scouts GC08 so a scout army for me is viable :P All I have to finish now is the Armoury(more tanks) few more Honour Guard, some more Librarians, Chaplains and Dreadnoughts. I'm actually going to family for X-mas now so that problem is over come but my issues is cost of accommodation; for a return bus journey from my town in Wales to Warminster it was £13 which is good, however due to it taking 8 hours I'd need to travel up on the Friday and leave on the Monday morning early to make sure I get home. The hotel/B&B's I found in the area were at best £40 and then with food costs it soon escalates. The small entry fee (it was £4 or so?) has quickly turned into approx £200 and no offence at all guys but I can't justify spending that to play a few games of Warhammer.

Thus the problem of organised events, the initial outlay might not seem much but when you look at the whole costs they soon escalate. Just ask anyone who has ever gone to a GT!

 

Im sure that if you suggest a meet up in Wales people will be up for it later in the year. Most drive or blag lifts so its easier to get the travelling sorted.

Okely dokely.. i have a family room booked for me and Alloyslayer..

it was supposed to be £44 odd, but thier website wasnt working properly so i had to book by phone.. apparently getting off your butt to asnwer the phone means you can charge more...

it came to £58.85 dammit!!!

This made me laugh, you have obviously never been to one :) Far too much noise from Stag and Hen parties to get any serious nookie, I prefer the Hilton for that, much better surroundings and makes the experience all the better.

Depends on how many you take, the formation for the Scout company is great; even better when you make alterations to make it more Space Wolfy.
