... when you go on a "ghost walk" of a supposedly haunted building and one of the 'mediums' actually says to you "I can feel that you have a will of adamantium."

I swear on my chainblade and bolter, the look of confusion on her face at my hysterics was priceless.

That is awesome, did you start quoting from the Codex?

Also when, despite the complaints of one of the players at your local store, you have a really hard time thinking up a list that doesn't include at least one Land Raider Crusader. He complained about three, despite having the means to kill them. I don't want to be too hard on him but asking me to not take so many is like asking me to not be a Black Templar. I mean I could run rhinos, but why? You can't assault from rhinos, they don't mount holy hurricane bolters and assault cannons. They can't annihilate things with a multi-melta.

Asking a Black Templar not to take a LRC is like asking a pilot to fly a paper plane. :biggrin.:

You consorted with witches????

The irony of your username when issuing that statement is delicious.

In my defence, I was not told that they would be present. A friend simply invited me to go on said excursion with her. I had no knowledge of what to expect. I just crusaded onwards with the plan anyway.

Laughing in said witch's face was actually worth it, in retrospect.

When you start other armies but still obsessively but all Templary bits you come across. Or when you return and find the chastisement you receive from leaving oddly comforting

When all other armies (Across many different games) you attempt to start lead you right back to working on your Templars.

When your Marshal, wielding the Emperor's Own Blade, chops the legs off of a Riptide and then continues to bring blazing ruin to another seven battlesuits, all the while bouncing an armies' worth of plasma fire off of his ZEAL and then continuing on to getting Slay the Warlord with a well-aimed Bolt Pistol shot taking out the Ethereal scum leading the enemy.

Out-of-character, I seem to have a knack for ridiculous save streaks on my HQ models. 27 plasma wounds and not a single one got through the Iron Halo save.

That He does, Brother. That He does.

i need to start quoting this more. I've had warlords spend 5 turns in constant melee with enemies that have rending/ap 2 weapons, and the first wound he takes is because he killed so many pink horrors that their hit backs finally managed to get through his armor.

I've also had times where I make 7 out of 9 feel no pain saves. Templars do not care about probability, they deal in facts. We live, our enemies die.

+BUT A CHAINSWORD HELPS+

When your motto is "when unsure, apply chainsword; otherwise, for the Emperor".

If the chainsword doesn't work apply more force.

Thus quoted.

In honor of this moment I'm starting another crusade, death to the Xeno and Chaos that infest my LGS.

When your motto is "when unsure, apply chainsword; otherwise, for the Emperor".

If the chainsword doesn't work apply more force.

If not chainsword, than Power Sword. If not Power Sword, than Crozius. If not Crozius, than Power Fist or Thunder Hammer. If not Fist or Hammer, than the Paddle.

This is the Holy Progression of Templar weaponry. Any other weaponry is meant to support this progression.

But for Special occasions... Black Sword applies

Well, yeah, and Sword of the High Marshalls, but those are Holy Relics, and if you have them they override the standard progression, anyway.

When every unit your Marshal comes in contact with decimates everything it fights. (Also applies to vehicles)

My Marshal actually has a thunder hammer I've dubbed as "Thunderous Zeal" just because of this rather frequent occurence.

When doing the gardening( trimming the overly tall hedge 18+ foot, yeah I might of let it grow for a while, lol xD ) with inadequate tools you continuously think then say out loud to the surrounding help.....  I'd be done in 2 minutes if I had a chainsword.

..chainswords,   its like I'm obsessively thinking about them right now, for the past week or so. Even when playing battlefield online. I'm like, oh if I had a chain sword instead of this poxy knife

. ..wait a minute.., ....OCD    obsessive chainsword disorder.    well, I've just self diagnosed my problem. :laugh.:

oh, certainly is a nice Helbrecht model, and further on my statement above. I believe all Templars have OCD. Can be the only explanation.
