Just in case you guys were wondering I get all their names from a list of Babylonian names since Forgeworld has stated that the Astral Claws are supposed to have a Babylonian influence and theme. Tu was the Babylonian god of death, which I thought was very fitting for this model, but appearently I also thought it was very fitting for a previous model as well. nurgling6688 Posted September 20, 2013 Author Share Posted September 20, 2013 Thanks for all the kind words everyone, it's always very encouraging. @spafe: my only goal at the moment is to make it playable. As far as what I have lined up for it I currently have a land raider redeemer, predator, land speeder storm, 4 more assault termies, 4 more sternguard, another full tactical squad, 5 more assault marines, 3 bikes and the Tyrant himself. I would like to also get a squad of centurions, more bikes and an assault bike and some drop pods. I wanted to add bikes to this army before they were cool by the way. The fluff says they use them a lot, just a happy coincidence that they are awesome rules wise now, and I've always wanted an assault bike. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

The battle damage, the subtle highlights, the gleaming edges on the metals, the legion symbol, and that face? Damn. I love everything about this mini. I really like his fluff, too - one of my favourite things about this forum is seeing people create astartes with backstory and personality. I have to get that head now. Same. When I saw the new masters of the chapter I knew I could make a pretty arrogant looking model out of this one. I made it in about a week and a half and it made final cut and got me an honorable mention but no trophy which I am kind of surprised by actually. I got feedback on it from the judges though and will probably re-enter next year. I was considering tearing the captain off and putting him on a normal base for my army but I like the duel to much, plus he is really short. This is also the only model that I have painted the lion's head astral claw symbol instead of the Tyrant's Claw. You can kind of make it out on his gold shoulder pad. On the subject of the duel: everything is great but I really, really love that power sword. The lightning arcs are more ragged and angular than on most weapons painted with a similar effect, and it makes it look vicious, seething with energy. If I use Ultramarines can I still use Huron since he is not an Ultramarine character? Has anyone tried contacting Forge World to get their stance on this?
