Hey buddy, I know this is not really all that helpful, but I have to point out that the head version with the Bloodthirster pad looked much cooler with an actual lower jaw. The spliced in Knight headplate is an elegant solution, certainly, but it just lacks the visual punch of the earlier version, where it looked like the jaws were actually gripping that cylinder underneath like some kind of chomping bit -- maybe you can source another one of those lower jaws...?

Anyway, keep up the excellent work! :)

Andvaar A, ha I like it. I haven't come up with names for them yet but I'll keep those in mind :)

Kraut, I'd had the same thought re the head. I was aiming for a stylised Khorne symbol using the lower section but I can't get it to work. I already have plans in motion to make a mandible in the same style as the Thirster skull. Watch this space ;)

End of the day BH, it's your call. It's all in the process of building with what looks right and what doesn't I.e. making it good, making it fit, and for it being tasteful. Far too many chaos conversions go well until the overboard happens and then it becomes a mess. Or the chaos conversions are too minimalist that it becomes mere decoration.

And that's what I love about your work, and Kraut's and also t's work, it's tasteful, within the aesthetic, and not overblown ballumph that makes things too busy.

And at the end, instead of "oogiddy" and "boogiddy" they could be that monstrous they should simply be named "ooo" and "f***" lol

But sillyness aside - names like "Panzerfaust" and "SchlächtereiMordmaschine" - the last one might be a bit longwinded, but carry on - and it's a lovely day for carrying on

Whole log & recent Knights all look cool.

I would keep the jaw bone on the melta weapon, it cool & fit your army look.style.  Have you got the rest of the skull from the Warhammer Gaint kit?  Just thinking what would it be like on the Melta, just thinking of the IW upgrade kit where the melta has a skull attach to it.

For the base - I'm not great with the terrain box set names, but it pretty much the box set with the Imperial eagle (right on my Armies on Parade board 2012).  Just there a lot of great part for the space that the Knight base has & maybe have a fallen Space Marine?

I'm looking forward to seen both Knight painted :D

I am kinda jealous that you can afford to squander the abyssal head like that, you know... ;)

Seriously, though: Excellent work, buddy! The lower jaw for the second Knight's skull head is much better now and should work really well when painted. And the first Knight is very cool all around -- I especially like the subtle movement in the pose.

My gut feeling says that he needs just a tad more clutter, though: Will you be adding anything to the pauldrons and/or the top of the carapace? Oh, and you totally need to drill out that heavy stubber barrel, of course ;)

Seeing these guys finished will be a treat! My one piece of advice would be to take your sweet time for painting either model -- as I am finding out myself right now, the Knights are not models to be rushed...

Looking forward to your next update! :)

Thanks guys

Kraut, I'd bought that head from a bits site ages ago and never really knew what to do with it. I realised the other night the lower jaw would match the Bloodthirster pad pretty well. So rather than waste the skull. ;) as for the shoulder pads I do feel they need something but I'm not sure what. I like what you've done with the chains so may mimic that. Will have a play around with bits when I can. I'm hoping to start painting the first one next weekend but I will be taking my time with it definitely.

DSSGT, not a bad idea that, I do have plans for a couple of dead marines/guardsmen.

Hmm, if you can get your hands on the "Bloodsecrator" from the Age of Sigmar starter box, his standard would be a lovely piece of decoration for a Knight (it's Knight-sized anyway): One could possibly even cut it in half and use it on both pauldrons, I suppose? Beyond that, the chains from the Bloodthirster's (pretty stupid) meteor hammer could also be used as decoration -- they could even be crossed to resemble a recurring bit of World Eaters heraldry.

Kraut, I actually have two of those models as I knew I could use that symbol for something. Hadn't figured out what yet but now you've given me some ideas. :tu: I also have the meteor hammer so can mess about with them as well.

Grizz, just want to say thanks again to you and thehobbyroom. Fantastic and generous mates. Cheers buddy.
