Very nice SHT

 

I agree that the front turret looks a bit off.

 

I like how you raise the back sponsons to give them a field of fire. I just put mine on backwards when I went dual sponsons

 

Can't wait to see it painted

Oops. I cant believe how I missed this thread once you started the Fellblade. Nice job Brother Syth. I've a Fellblade project sitting on my desk in a box awaiting a backlog of projects to come together. I'm going to be going thru the same thing you did with the tracks and the rivets and the gaps and everything else. I paid close attention to how you did yours. :P Mine is quite different, though. Yours will out gun mine me thinks, heh. Gonna steal some ideas never the less. Excellent thread btw. (spelling edit)

@spu00sed: Thanks! Raising the back sponsons wasn't too hard, thought it would be a lot harder! Thanks for the comment, though not too sure what you mean by the font turret?

 

@smallvictory: Thanks! Its taken me on and off a month and a bit to get this thing assembled. Painting it will be tough, so hopefully I can get it done by the deadline!

Well, it has been quite some time since my last post here, but with the coming of the LPC I decided to finish off this project. I must say that with a combination of family, work, my friend getting back into the hobby into Warhammer Fantasy, and Boarderlands 2, I utterly and completely failed my vow for the second Imperial Fists expansion. Something that I will not repeat here! So after a hiatus of painting yellow, I'm going to get back into it and paint my Edelweiss. I'll probably burn through all my stock on Deneb Stone, but at least (I hope) it will look good!

 

Thus far I have undercoated it black, and that's it. Certainly more to follow, and hopefully tonight I can get some paint on it. Thanks for looking and I hope to post a bit more regularly on this project. I certainly has taken awhile!

Well, slight update to show I'm not entirely idle. Hvae nearly finished the second coat of yellow on the main chassis on the Fellblade. Thinking after the yellow armour is done I'll do some details and then move onto the other big turrets.

A week update. Put more paint on the Edelweiss and its starting to take shape. I've decided to not do any weathering until all the turrets are on. Just a few more details though and then I'll make a start on the two main turrets. Might leave Chronos to last though, we shall see.

Haven't checked this thread in a few weeks.

Loving the Super Tank of Yellow Awesomeness .

 

Thanks! Glad its finally taking shape!

 

Small update here. Finished the left sponson turrets and the hull mounted heavy bolter. The turrets are magnetized so that they will stay on better (hopefully). Though I misy admot the magnets were a paint to put on and get the poles right, since I was using 1mm by 1mm magnets. Ahh well just two lascannon turrets for the right hand side and then Chronos and then I can start the battle damage and weathering!

Thanks! Next are the last two right hand side turrets and then the Edelweiss commander himself (Chronos) who will live on the rear main turret.

I wish i could see this bad boy on the table... when you finish it can we get an army shot please! woot.gif
