Well I finished the turrets finally and also Chronos. Now only the battle damage and the weathering remain. This project is nearing completion and it will be great when its finished and off my painting table!

As always and c&c is most welcome.

Its a Beast and there is no doubt. Fantastic Fellblade brother. Kudos for having the patience for painting that much yellow. How long in actual painting hours do you reckon you have spent on it? I struggle with a Rhino!

Had to do a retake of the thread, the awesomeness of these models and that tank is unmeasurable. Some might even say its.... Over nine thousand.

Cheers! I'm proud of what I have accomplished since I started this about a year ago. Thanks for the comment!

Thanks! As for painting hours, just and evening here and there. Perhaps 20 to 40 hours all told. Construction itself took nearly a month, doing a bit a week at a time. Its definately been a long project for me and is as such the biggest model I have ever painted, so required a lot of patience and focus to see this oen to the end. All I can say is that I'm glad the end is in sight and I can't wait to use this monster in a game!

Looking great mate biggrin.png And 18 guns is pretty impressive on one tank tongue.png

Thanks a bunch! More guns the better I say!

LPC vow complete! Its been a beast of a project, the biggest model I have ever done, but damn I must say it is worth it. The only bad thing is that its burned through all my stock of Golden Yellow, so for the time being I won't be painting any more Fists. Hopefully in time I'll find another alfternative that works for me. Thanks for looking and hope you enjoyed the journey!

Enjoy!

Excellent work. Very well weathered too.

You should be proud!

Thanks! I sure am, as its been a long journey with this project. Glad its finished and can now move on.

WOW excellent job! It looks fantastic! You should certainly be proud. What do you have to paint now?

Cheers! For the time being I won't be doing any Imperial Fists, mainly due to my stock of paint being exausted. That and it being OOP means its going to be some trial and error before I find a new scheme that works for me, and doesn't look out of place next to my older models. Eventually I'd like to do my Sternguard squad, as it has quite a few limited edition models and I think it will look killer. But that will be in the distant future at this stage.

Nicely done, Sir. Dorn must have a special place for you in his hearts.

Thanks! Hard to think of higher praise!

It's amazing. I have some questions to ask.

How many points is that beast?

I want one

What will you do next?

How many jars of paint did you use?

Points its going to be 720. If you like I can PM you the datasheet I'm using for it, which I got off Machinator when I started this project.

As for what's next, probably some Fantasy. No more Imperial Fists for the short term, as I have no more OOP Golden Yellow, and need to experiement with the new paints to get a scheme that will fit neatly next to my older varient. I have no timeline for that atm, so who knows. I would eventually like to do some Sternguard, but we shall see.

Oh and for this model I used 3 GW Golden Yellow pots and ¾ a pot of Coat d'arms Golden Yellow. I did do an experiment before to find a replacement for the GW Golden Yellow, and thought I found it with the Coat d'arms, but having used it, its slightly more orange than the GW Golden Yellow. Hard to notice, buts its there. Hence why I need to make a new recipe for yellow now.

That would be great thanks. Is there a shopping list of what to get to make one?

What's you're army's total points up to now? And can we get a full army picture sense you're going to be stepping away from these guys for a while?

Fantastic! Well done. Just be prepared for it getting blown up in the very first turn of its first game! It always happens when you spend ages working on something. Its the Sods law of Warhammer!

Thanks! Yeah I figured that it won't last long in game, but at least it will look good on the bookshelf!

Shopping list;

Imperial Guard Fellblade

Blood and Skulls Industry Mega Tank Pack (just google Blood and Skulls industry)

Chronus

Forge World Imperial Fist Rhino doors

Imperial Fist Tank bits

Plasticard sheets and small round tubes for rivets

Time

I have no idea what the army total would be. At a guess must be at least 3000 to 4000 painted. I'll try and get a picture of it all this weekend.

Absolutely incredible work!  I'm very impressed!  As someone who's built a couple of these can can attest it is a HUGE project and one you've done very well. :)

I recently updated the rules for the warmaul.  Here they are in case you're interested:
