Sorry, this update is REALLY late. I've been posting updates to the ETL so I had an it h that maybe I was updating too often with out enough progress. I managed to get two hours in last night, and combined with some other work I did the night before, I think I can safely post this having done enough work to it.

 

There's a few things I'd like to get feed back on from you guys.

 

First, what do you think?

 

Second, I'm trying to find a name for her.

 

Finally, what are some ways I can designate a squadron? I'm referring to apoc games where you can have a formation of three or such and they get a bonus.

War Angel, I like what you have going on here but I am going to throw you an idea that I think might help. I think you should invest in a good air brush, I think you will like the way they provide results. Other than that keep up the hard work its paying off! I think I might convert a mini and paint it up in your colors, like a mini me!

To be 100% honest I just broke my first air brush about a week ago! So I may not be the best for advice on this topic but I am looking closely at the Badger Air ones i thing that is in my future! that is also the reason my Imperial Fist legion is on hold

I left the lascannons unglued so that I could move them, but they always sag to the bottem. I think I might need to glue them after all.

Good afternoon everyone, and I hope we all (on this side of the Atlantic) had a good Fourth of July. (No hard feelings to my European cousins) :D

 

Once again my saterday update has pushed back into Sunday, so I guess it's good that I moved it so that when I'm late I'm still on the weekend lol. Friday I finished working on my second ETL vow. I was hoping to start on the TDA squad (still in building phase so I haven't vowed them yet) but sadly the weekend was against me. I hope to finish them sometime this week so that I can vow them and get cracking. Sadly as they are first company, I've got more white to do than if they were a Tac squad.

You are the man I've been looking for tools just like these for the last couple of weeks I just didn't know what they were called. But my question is what firmness to get. I also assuming the mini size 0 would work the best but is their a different size u would suggest.

I played my first apoc game of this edition, but due to the fact that no one else showed up it ended up just being a three way 2865ish point match with super heavies on two sides. Thankfully, I learned tht I needed to better manage my time during turns(the turn that my reserves came I didn't have time to fire the thunderhawk.... On its premiere game too) , and that I need to print out/ highlight some of te rules about drop pods (was instantly told I can't have combat squads in pods).

 

In short, lesson learned, here's some pics

I had two thousand points in reserves until turn three.... So here's my 800 point deployment. They never fired a shot.

My chaos counterpart. I don't think he has the apoc book, which is fine, we were both new to it anyway. He had no heavies, which would normally not have mattered, however we were so far apart that we really didnt do much. He had the defense line so I didn't want to do a slow march to my doom. He actualy captured an objective by the third turn, which was all we had time for.

 

Anyway, I probably coulda played a lot better, but it was fun and a huge learning experiance.

 

Oh and one lesson I learned is I need an agis defense line.... There's so much I could do with one, even if not for anti air at all....

Re games, the more you play with your force the more natural it become. That said even veterans still make rookie errors on occasion!

My Passwords and settings on various programs have all started a revolution, so I can't get pictures up at the moment. At some point tonight I will post the pictures of the updates I've been making on the termies. I wasn't entirely happy with the gold and realized I had a few spots that needed to be cleaned. So after painfully removing the heads, I've got something a bit more presentable.

As promised, I cleaned up some of the colors after redoing the gold and purity seals. I gave them a coat of drakenhof nightshade, but I honestly don't see any of it now, so I will likely not be doing that again. C&C welcome

Nah, brother. It's looking crisp. Nice and subtle on top of the darker blue to catch the eye on the hard edges. Looking good.

It has been a long time since last I have set my eyes upon your Eagles Eternal and I must say they look stunning mate! I can't wait to see those Terminators finished soon and I must agree I am new to Apoc games as well and I am hosting one in 2 months time so I have to learn most of the rules as soon as possible . I might actually make a few Eagles Eternal marines for myself if it is fine with you? By any chance as I have only looked only at portions of this thread have you posted a tutorial on your colour scheme as it is beautiful and once I make a few EE I would like to know how to replicate them

A few months ago I opened the hanger doors of the eagle spire to any and all who would like to make some Eagles Eternal, or successor chapters. So feel free, you can even post them here if you like.
