The tank company takes shape 2 of 3 more are done.  All of these have magnetized main guns. One has magnetized sponsons.

First, the Command tank.  I can make 2 Plasma Executioner tanks.

And another.  Old metal plasma sponsons on this guy.  All the little gatling guns  count as Heavy Bolters.

One more to go. Stay tuned.

One more tank... the Demolisher. Then on to FINALLY finish painting Ms Charlotte.  Once she's done I'll have to build something. Already going through building withdrawls.  Not sure what though, it will depend if I buy any of the new Death Guard stuff besides the codex.  Lord knows I have enough minis I could build already. There could even be a slight overhaul of the existing Templars of DOOoom to get them more in line with 8th.  Plus some loyalist shenanigans I won't sully this unholy ground with.

I know the feeling. I can always tell when they are about to release cool new models I actually want. It always coincides with my hobby account being low to dry. Its been an expensive year here at Casa D Rednekk, so I'll likely be converting stuff. Two things I have a LOT of is bitz and greenstuff.

Since I was "modernizing"/finishing the Leman Russ Squadron I decided to detail the other two basically finished tanks in the stable.  They each got the rust red army stripe and new number decals as well as a little up to date weathering, since I did them a few years back.  So, the finished Devil Dog....

For my StuG Basilisk, I opened up the gun well so it could elevate.  I considered a new length of barrel but decided against it. I still might add some camo netting, but the jury is still out on that.  I had to do a little repainting of the camo after hacking and sanding. I updated the weathering a bit with some powders and current colors and here she is.  Pretty happy with this beasty and can't wait to drop some pain on someone with it.

Also have been goofing around with my eventual Noise marine detachment.  Working on the blastmaster guy. Its just the first stages, but I'm liking the creepy eyeless vibe.  The stuff on his shoulderplate will be "impurity" seals made of flayed skin.  The eventual color scheme will be deep irridecent black (think beetle shells or bird feathers) with tanned fleshy stuff and probably some bronze.

Schmexy tanks indeed. And very fast-paced! I love that you're finalky going back to Ms. Charlotte.

Also, those noise marines!

Thanks!  I'm excited to see where the noise marines will end up. They will definitely be heavy on the green stuff.

I just finished the tank a few minutes ago. I'm goofing around with a couple things, but when I come back to painting, Ms. Charlotte is already on my painting station. :)

Thanks guys! One more tank. Should have pics up tomorrow, then on to finishing up Ms Charlotte.

KBA- When I used to build scale models the STuG family (esp. the STuG 3) were my favorite. I used to compete in IPMS/AMPS events. 1/35 tank was a hard category, but I did manage a Bronze in that one.  My big wins were always with WW2 Prop planes. :)

Did I ever tell you how I got these scars? :D

The poxwalkers and Traitor tanks look great loving the work on the Blastmaster marine as well. I'm a big fan of the eyeless look :tu:

The last of the Leman Russ Squadron. Main gun is magnetized, but the Demolisher is the favorite on this hull.

Ms Charlotte is on the painting station. Should be done with her around mid-week.  Then..... who knows. Blind Noise Marines? Marine Poxwalkers? Meso-American Khorne Berserkers?  Wai- what?!?!   Yeah.... you heard me.  Its Chaos, folks. Anything can happen ;)

Leman Russes look great as per.

About fricking time! :p :D ;)

Right?!?  One nice thing about the backlog painting is that I'm painting a LOT of stuff of similar theme. While I'd like some variety, since I'm doing things like the Nurgly skin, all the time it does go by faster. I had actually been picking at her a bit, so she's probably about 50-60% done.  Then I'll have to sort out her base.

Some great progress on Ms Charlotte.  Her sides are  DONE! as well as the metal/rusty parts and her eye lenses. Carapace is up next.  The underside of the wings, claws/horns and probably some gribbly detailing around her mouth and she'll be done

And the eyes....
