Great update Lorenzen! Personally I like the leather pteruges between the legs, they'll make him stand out from the 'regular' shroud. The Knight is looking brilliant as well :)

Out of interest, how are you doing the red cloth on the grave wardens? I'm doing a similar scheme but finding my red is too vibrant.

Thanks dude, its just burnt cadmium form vallejo with a wash of ak streaking grime and agrax earthshade atm.. havent got round to highlights etc.. but when I do ill try and remember to post a recipe.. burnt cadmium is awesome though

lots of work still to be done on him, base needs some addiional bits n bobs, wrist armour needs fixing, mohawk needs sculpting etc etc but i figured Kael needed a bit of an overhaul

Very imposing! The only thing that I'm not keen on is the twist in the torso, It just looks unnatural in that giant suit of terminator armour (I realise that that is how the Typhon mini comes).

yeah the body is typhons, the axe handle is a grey knight terminator thunder hammer i believe and the cape is from asterion moloc

Got lots of work to do on the knights.. more work on the errants fist needs to be done before its ready to be primed (not glued in place yet) and the lancer (which will be my Senechal) requires a hell of a lot more work as hes just blocked in for the most part (and not properly glued together yet)

progress has been slow on him due to work and starting to plan out my next compeition piece for the heresy weekender.. however there is still some progress..

 

 

the blood drop has dried fully since the photo and is now clear rather than cloudy.. but i thought it was a nice touch to help add to the rather savage look hes got going on

EDIT: Oh by the way, the dead Ultramarine is from the Angron base, right? Did you buy a second base on Ebay or how did you get it?

The base is Angrons base, not just the ultramarine from it with a bit of extra rock for Kael to stride over.. I had a bit of a mishap with my angron model.. so he no longer requires a base until i replace him down the line..

 

now for something a little different..

 

 

playing about with some techniques trying to get a really nice silver armour colour and some contrast between the different metals on this model.. ignore the brass for now, its very very flat and not at all nice.
