Although its auto hit in the beam path, most likely your opponent will refrain from lining his troops up in a way favorable to you, and its only 48 in.

However however however, i can see this carronade absolutely broadsiding termie squads and large 20 man blobs....hehehe goodbye hiding apothecary

I might get one fell glaive and name it Piccalo, since....well it is his signature move ;)

I do like the beam rules. Maybe add a lower power shorter ranged shot for when the lines get mixed together.

I'm also trying to figure out what suffers more from the haywire, super heavies or normal tanks.

Finally loving the preators and how FW has admitted that the paragon blade is their default weapon, as well as how the archaeotech pistol is a revolver.

Fixed that for you ;)

...and if you play world eaters, then danger close means youre own guys...as long as the blood flows

My problem with the tank is a bunch of questions about its use:

  1. Shouldn't the beam cause hits on occupants of a penetrated transport?
  2. can you fire at models in combat?
  3. does the beam go through or ignore terrain?

well technically its in its experimental phase but i would like these issues addressed.

Does anyone know which novel characters forge world is going to make mini's for? Like if they are going to the rest of the mournival, or make Julius Kaesoron for example. Or I am wondering if they are going to only focus on more well know characters from the novels.

I bet julius is going to be in massacre, he wasn't at Istvaan III after all. They said they were going to make the characters from the books, didn't they?

Well, in any case you'll most likely get more characters than me with my Alpha Legion. We only have three characters in the novels, with two mentioned in only one book and another one mentioned in a second one as well...and not much mentioned about their looks apart that they look exactly like anybody else... sad.png

Special character Alpha Legionnaire #1534. While an adorable trait for the legion, it doesn't do itself well on the board imho...I wan't impressive special characters and units too! sad.png

I hope they make Julius he is one of my favorites even though he is nuts but maybe that is what I like about him ;)

Alpha Legion kind of does need more characters but it may go against the whole "I am Alpharius" thing they have going on, maybe in future books.

Readin Corax : Soulforge atm.

They talk about a unit called "The shadowmasters", whom are marines with a special quirk in their geneseed. They go invisible basically, and are a sort of spec ops team, within a spec ops legion..

.

Those or the Raptors would be a nice special unit.

Hmm well IIRC, the Weekender talk said the Night Lords are supposed to be getting their Raptors so it'd be a little weird for there to be two different Legion-specific units having the same name. I think the Raven Guard Raptors might get included, just that they may not have the same name. Then again, it might be the Night Lord Raptors who get a different name. I'm not sure.

I reckon they will name the raven guard raptors something different because that's more of the unit name rather than the marines themselves and not a specialised marine unit, plus we know at the end of the scouring corax puts them all out of there misery, I think it will be some name like advanced proto marine, where I picture fabius biles super soldiers. just bulkier extra limbed astrates, and the night lords fans would be up in a riot if the raptors were changed, I just cant wait to see if they do the raptor backpacks as a extras sprue, id be throwing some onto my world eaters.

Just wondering if anyone has had a chance to hold the new Praetor models yet.

Wondering how they break down model by model, if the torso and legs are separate or single piece?

Reason I ask is I am doing a Night Lord army and I don't feel that I want my guys to have the Imperial Eagle but love the rest of the minis.

I know it says "fully compatible with terminator and mkIv weapon kits" but wondering on the Torso breakdown.

Cheers!

Legs and Torso are one piece, then shoulder pads, backpack and head are separate, with left arm having fixed gun and right arm separate and hand holding sword separate.

pretty much the same for both models though the termi gun hand is also separate
