Disruptor_fe404
They are from the Dreadknight. Follow-up question: Does the Dreaknight kit actually have a left hand that's gripping a weapon? I haven't seen the sprues myself, but the pictures of the model lead me to believe that the left hand was always a clenched (and empty) fist. Memento Of Prospero
The models left hand clutches the sword or hammer. Thr other is empty. Disruptor_fe404
Ah, right, my bad. So did you have to convert the right hand then? How did you do it? Memento Of Prospero
I could not find the left hand to save my life (I often do bitz trading days and they sometimes disappear in trades) otherwise it would have been just fine to glue the hammer on. Instead, I had to take the second hammer, cut the hand out of the hammer, flip it, file the palms even and greenstuff a thumb and the fingers. You can clearly see in the picture than they are not the originalon the black hand, but I think it's not so bad. Memento Of Prospero
If you do have the proper left hand, just cutting the shaft flat will be easy to glue it on. Disruptor_fe404
Oh! I only just realised that the hands holding the weapons (in fact, all the hands from the Dreadknight kit) are in two halves; thumb and fingertips, weapon and palm. That makes things much easier for something I have in mind! Cheers, buddy! Sanguine Eternal
The Answer to your question Quixus ! My second Death Company dreadnought, Little Timmy Where are those skulls from? The ones on his shoulder and on top of the magna grapple? Even the wings with the Angel and sword. Those add a lot of character to it. Memento Of Prospero
They are from the dark angel floating chapel kits. (Landspeeders). Sanguine Eternal
Always looking for more skulls and stuff to add to death company dreads. I bought a 12yd roll of small chain for Michaels last week, and glued a bunch over the dread, so it looks like he broke free from his restraints. I bent one leg with boiling water so it looks like its running as well. Sanguine Eternal
I was planning on doing a big death company group shot when I had the others done. But since I have a few days of waiting... I will get around to some pics today of all my death company. Lemartes was my last one finished, except base. I will get around to posting them today I promise. I think you'll like the death company with wings. Quixus
Is that plasticard on the bases of the dreads? 2mm thick? Did you exchange the normal dreadnought base for a flat one or did you make one flat to take the plasticard? Memento Of Prospero
I bought new flat unadorned bases for these. While the textured one is nice, it did not fit in with the rest of my army.
