Wolf_Pack's Blood Angels - Conversions and Kit Bashes

Are you planning on making some devastator-types as well Wolf?  Those I'm more interested in from a gameplay perspective.

But I have to admit, if I was looking for what a marine boarding party to breach a starship or bunker defense would load out as, its these guys.  Makes the Forgeworld breacher marines look like they need a lesson in overkill.

Indeed I will Calnus! As soon as I receive my bits (which are delayed) I will also build Shooty ones.

After quite of bit of awesome feedback, I decided to thicken the legs a bit. the upper torse was great, but the legs left like a silly bodybuilder who just wanted to flex his biceps. so In one stroke, I decided to beef up the legs and add 100% more wings and insignia!

Definitely going in the right direction.  What if you add dreadnought legplates or wristguards to the ankle joints to continue the leg thickening all the way to the foot?  Or if they're in a couple pieces, maybe re-use the lower ends of the Centurion leg armor?  Definitely enjoying the extra wings and insignia on the thigh portions.

Possibly trim the side tabs off as well (I hate the 4-tab dreadnought look, just doesn't seem right for a humanoid).

See, that's what I am trying avoid. I don't want to look too much like actual centurions because they just too thick and I don't want that. If I keep adding onto it, I feel like it will be the same.

Good point.  I just look at those ball joints at the feet, and particularly the thin bit between them and the stirrups, and the engineer in me starts screaming to fix the weak point.

As it is, you've got a decent taper from the body down to the feet, and that matches anatomy roughly, but large structures are always thicker at the bottom for good reason.  I'd almost suggest moving the shoulderpads you've used down to the ankles, but I'm not sure that would look right either.

Those turned out really nice!  Love the Dr.Octopus flamer arms as well.  I've been looking back and forth at your conversion, and the actual centurion squad, and yours looks WAY more mobile.  They look like they could actually have jump capabilities built into the legs.  Good job!

The power loader centurions look cool but the mecha tendril flamers aren't doing it for me.... They make me think of garden hoses...

Deadly garden hoses. I have to say that I am holed up in a dung heap town with no hobby shop or music store nearby, I can't get any guitar string for the time being.

Truly an 'Aliens' inspired mech cage for your cents, great conversion job, well done.  I'm also in two minds about the flamers as mentioned, looking more like tendrils than anything.  I like the idea of how you've attached them, but wonder how they would look with some sort of attached pnuematic arm.

I've just done 6x combi plasma rifles myself, I ended up doing them 6 different ways as an experiment and to see which I liked best.  If you find the plasma part is too high and obscures the marines' view (which I did after the first few), try the worst offenders with mounting a plasma pistol (without the hand grip) the right way up but mounted underneath in place of the foregrip, ended up being my fav too :)

I think that plasma pistol is the only way to do it, as it's much more inscale with the bolter. My sergeants end up holding the combi bolter in one hand to make sure it doesn't overshadow the rest of the model.
