I took the GSC Magos I've had in my stash for too long and after some rummaging in my bitz supply put together an Exodite Farseer. She's actually entirely GW plastic; the head is from the Kabalite Warrior box, and the spearhead, forearm and shuriken pistol is from the RT Eldar weapon sprue(!). That aside all the work was carving and a tiny bit of gapfilling (mostly sprue-goo but one larger piece needed Tamiya putty). I'm intending to use her as part of an Exodite/"Savage Eldar" Kill Team for Offbeat Build's Grim Team challenge. Need to decide which base team to use as the template... Evil Eye Posted September 13 Share Posted September 13 A few days ago in the hobby I put together two operatives for my Savage Eldar Kill-Team to be run as the Hand of the Archon (see above); one is a Skysplinter Assassin and the other is a Heavy Gunner. Both are made from a mix of Kabalite Warrior parts with 3D printed heads and torsos and some other assorted bits (the assassin uses RT Guardian weapon arms, a vulture from the Giant kit and a top-fed shuriken catapult taken from the Wraithlord kit with a handle added). I'm particularly pleased with the catapult, actually. Doghouse Posted September 13 Share Posted September 13 I took a break from 40k and dabbled in another rising game system from Warlord as a palette cleanser which has been fun but have now settled on a 4th Ed Dark Angels army along with a Word Bearers Chaos Space Marine army. Captain/Company Master is coming along nicely. Ideally I'd like to do Orks as well but starting a fresh army these days is stupidly expensive. The other beauty of 4th edition is that vehicle design rules means I can include the likes of knights and anything I fancy so conversions opportunities are abundant. I think it helps to try something else for a bit to clean out the cobwebs. The plastic Hersey marines feel massive now but I have spent an enjoyable evening hand painting back banners for the Dark Angels. Evil Eye Posted September 19 Share Posted September 19 TITHI made a start on converting this incomplete 3E Raider into a primitive (by Eldar standards) grav-skiff to act as a transport for my Savage Eldar. I am not very good with styrene work, but hopefully a round of sanding and puttywork should make it look more like wraithbone an less like sheet metal. Also considering removing and replacing some of the "railing" on the prow and the tail to make it less obviously the old Raider.
