That Data Base crash kinda threw everything for a loop didn't.?..

For Chaos!... Here, We go again...

I'm slowly Building a Block of Chaos noise marines.

I still have a ton of sculpting to do before this ever makes it to paint, but here are some Pics of what I have thus far..

This is still VERY W.I.P All the weapons and everything are just tacked together atm, and Im still trying to figure out my design for the sonic weapons before I move much further..

Questions, Comments, and Criticisms are always welcome

Thanks

I'm glad to see you posting in this topic again.  I have two requests to ask if you don't mind.  First, would you mind posting that little photo tutorial of how you made those round vents with the green stuff and a tube?  Second, would you post your thoughts on the Vallejo brushes after you use them?  I only use their paint and I need to get some new brushes.  I'm debating which brand to try next.

Mike go get W&N Series 7 msn-wink.gif

And glad to see the topic has been remade! Can't wait to see your finished pieces!

The only problem with that is there is nowhere local for me to do so. I'm a little hesitant to buy expensive brushes online and have them show up in the mail with messed up bristles. I'm torn on that decision most of all. Two hour drive for hand picked brushes or hand of fate for mail order.

Thanks, guys!

Im currently going cross-eyed sculpting a head for the blastmaster..

Ya, I had a quick and easy Vent Tutorial in the last Thread.. Too bad it was nuked along with everything else..

As far as the brushes go, I have NO clue.. They came for free with the box.

Remind me when I get into Paint..

these are fantastic. Interesting, I'm currently building plague marines but nearly went down the same route.

Sculpting screaming faces on everything..?

Yes, that's what put me off!  Best to start off with boils, bloated bellies and pustules to asses my GS skills first  :P

here you go mikhail

http://i238.photobucket.com/albums/ff70/Zsoulless/ventmold_zps60451db3.png

1) roll out a small block of fimo or sculpy

2) use a piece of plasticard tube to make circular impression(s) in the clay

3) use your hobby blade to make evenly spaced lines in the middle of the circular impression(s) you made

Then bake it off as directed for your clay

you should end up with something like whats pictured above..

different size tubes equal different sized vents..

press, cure, cut and apply

rinse, & repeat.. Vents for all

Ok.. So, I've done a bit more Detail work on my blastmaster..

He just needs a little more face work(sculpt his brow, eyelids, etc..etc..), some sanding, and a few minor details..

I still need to sculpt 2 shoulderpads and work out the groups sonic weapons...

Then I get to paint =)
