Being one of the Atramentar, Kuul Zhar looks down upon bikes are being lesser tools. Or he could if he were a real person instead of a randomly generated name pulled from my head

Personally I'd go with regular bikes, mainly due to grav technology being such a pain the posterior to maintain let alone produce. If your warband happened to have dragged a ranking mechanicum adept along with his army of slaves and the relevant materials to carry out the work then I'd say it's not beyond the realms of possibility.

P.S when I finally get my hands on Massacre and being my own rise with the VIII Legion I plan to make a 6 man bike squad using the outriders from FW since they look so much better than the GW ones

While I would advise you to go with whatever option seems the most fun to you, in case you ever need to convert a jetbike after all, Ron's tutorial over at From the Warp has always worked well for me.

That's a very expensive conversion because it requires not only the marine bike and various bits from other sources, it calls for two OOP Dark Eldar jetbikes to be used.

Blood and Skulls Industryused to do some, but they've been taken down recently. They might go up again, who knows. Alternatively this Maxmini one is quite cool.

Depending on what you could get the OOP Dark Eldar jet bikes for from eBay, the FW bikes would be about the same price or not much more. And I agree that they are all kinds of awesome.

Depending on where you buy them the FW bikes aren't as expensive as one might think either. I got mine for about $20 each.

Already bought all the bike bits I'm gonna need, I'll be converting two sets of the Ravenwing command bikes, somehow fitting...

Very fitting indeed, send me a pm if you want to swap out any of the DA specific bits in the kits for other stuff.  I could use some Dark Angels stuff and I have extra other stuff.

So i figured we've got an unbalanced chatter to photo ration, so here's what I'm working on, no doubt Jaspcat will be pleased ;) Still have some more "ornamentation" to do, but here is the almost complete Landraider "Creeping Death."

This is actually the 1st Landraider I've ever built (and likely the last). This thing was such a massive pain in the butt, from the warped an improperly sized MkIIb kit from FW, to the long wait and crazy amount of cutting and slicing I had to do on the Oppressor pattern treads from Blood and Skulls Industry, this has been the project from hell. Pretty much zero fun from start to near completion, which is unfortunate because I love building stuff almost as much, if not more, than I do painting it. All thats left is the sororitas corpse I plan on hanging on the left side and a yet to be determined (probably Night Lords symbol) hood ornament. Anyways let me know what you guys think as always!

As for the rest of the treads I got from Blood and Skulls Industries, the Rhino treads are practically unusable they're so warped, so I'm thinking of scrapping them all. If anyone has spare Rhino treads they'd be willing to part with send a PM my way. The Rhino's have been a load of fun up to this point. Hopefully when the bike parts arrive my hobby Mojo will return. As for the Chaos Lord he's pretty much done, just gotta add a few skulls/trophies and he'll be ready for your critique.

I'd also like to apologize to Kol Saresk for not having a completed Sergeant to show you guys tonight, he's currently taking a super-klean bath and will be getting assembled tomorrow evening, I didn't like his pose/my GS work, and my perfectionist genes won't let me just put "okay" work into this army. That's all for now,

Ave Dominus Nox!

I built one LR for myself, and another for my one and only painting commission a long, long time ago. Even without the resin parts, they are not fun to put together. Come to think of it, none of the GW vehicles are, but the MK IIB sure does look nice.

Since it's likely to be your last, I was going to suggest the awesome armor kit from Subtle Discord, but I dunno if it would work with the IIB resin parts.

That Landraider looks fantastic, the extra trim and decorations are perfect. It's a shame that the treads were a pain bevause they look great on there. Did you try contacting Blood and Skulls about the problems? He should replace them for you if you explain the issue. I can help you out with your rhino track problem, I picked up a used one and a new one in a trade and my Deathwing won't be riding in them. Send me a pm and I'll get you all sorted out tomorrow.

Dude I'm so excited and I just can't hide it!

I'm listening to my catalyst covering that song dancing around my office!!!!

About time my brother, sorry to hear about the tracks and the pain of assembly :sad.:

Haha, figured you'd enjoy it man.

Yeah it's unfortunate because the kit does look sweet and it really conveys the whole "Heresy/Pre-Heresy" time frame that most of the traitor legions have their gear from. I like Subtle Discord's kits and they look super clean, but unfortunately they're a little too gaudy for the direction I'm going with this army.

Yeah I would but I'm just not in the mood to continue waiting for tracks, I'm ready to paint these damn Rhinos and honestly I'm not as impressed with oppressor rhino tracks as I am the Landraider ones. I shoot you a PM shortly.

That land raider is Awesome

Thanks man (Disclaimer: No Crimson Fists were harmed in the making of this Landraider)

I love the tracks of the LR.....I can already hear them crunching their way trough ranks of loyalists!

Thanks, that's the idea ;)

You get the Night Lords like few other people do, Heinrich. I'll drink to that.

Not sure if I should be proud or worried that I understand psychopaths so well... ;)

No need to apologize. I see it as saving the best for last. :tongue.:

Exactly ;)

(middle guy)

Why hello there, you sexy beast.

It came from the blackness! Nihm! So glad you got to see my guys, I was bummed when I saw you had retired, I knew you would enjoy the new direction I'm taking with my Night Lords.

Not sure Creeping Death is right for a giant metal box covered in guns and featuring  spikey murder treads (which looks great by the way).

Well a landraider isn't exactly the fastest of vehicles. I thought it fit quite nicely with the Night Lords MO, It's crawling forward inexorably and unstoppably and there's nothing you can do to stop it.

Oh sweet babyjesus, just saw this from FW:
