Well I'm going to be the oddball and say it looks better on the inside. Think it fits the socket of the eye better. Just the minority opinion :P

I'm torn, because I think the small one on the inside makes it looks more assymetrical and I love assymetry in models. That being said, I do think the small one on the outside makes it have more character - and a menacing character at that.

 

Small answer to forte - try mixing a little milliput with grey or green stuff: it takes away the 'rubbery' feel of GS and adds rigidity of the cured product (ie make it hard as stone )

Don't like your stuff! No chance of that. Your scheme is consistently of a high standard. Your osl glows. And your conversions and scratch builds have me throwing my phone across the room.

It's all down to me now working and spending time in the Chaos forum (where time flows strangely).

Talking of Chaos...Call of Chaos starts on the 15th. Not that I'm hinting or anything :rolleyes:

im really happy with how the front of t cannon mounting turned out, even proud, the knoght cannon bit snaps right on and sits snugly so its fully interchangable.

hmm not saying anything more will be too cryptic, so to elaborate, the defiler will be done tomorrow!

BUT not the knight part yet, working on the last bits on the head tomorrow and started on the knight melta weapon.

sonwhen the melta option is done and the destroyer melee weapon is dome it can be used as chaos knight with all options or a two legged defiler with all options battlecanons melta reapers lascannons flamers and powerlegs(or fists depending on how you look at it)

might even be able tomrun ot as a knight lancer.

 

 

so tomorrow the base is done, the last two weapon options will take a few days more.

 

now if only subtle discord would lend me his workshop with all its wonderful mould making and casting tools ;)

So much awesome. Love how much bulkier and lumbering he seems compared to the knight. Question though, is that how you're going to keep the autocannon? Wondering if you were going to make a shield or armored covering around the top to bulk it up a bit? Seems kinda small is all compared to his massive battlecannon in the other arm.

im going to keep it like that, no blast sheild for that arm, when placed next to eachother they are very close in size, just not in length, also a sheild will make it hard to change out the reapers for lascannon

Hmm I'm not sure. Side to side they look alike, perhaps it is just the length of the barrel that makes the AC seem smaller.

I think it might be that the autocannon are so much thinner than the battle cannon. But then again, assymetry isnt a bad thing, i dont think you need to bulk it out

I think one with a huge 'blade' has already been done with the Lord of Skulls, so perhaps you can go for a giant version of Khârn's axe?
