i like feedback been hoping for some more comments, thanks bio will try to think of a good way to add more rubble, been thinking of addind more sand and giving it some dark washes to tone it all down a bit.

 

been listning to hh audiobooks and enjoying thst ehile painting armour plates, need to highlight the black and add glowing green runes to them

oh also forgot, need opinions here, powerfists, should they have powerfield effects or not?

Hope you don't mind me showing these but here's a couple of bases I've done. Just added sand drybrushed a few different shades then added washes in different patches to break it up.

i dont mind at all, the look great especially the 2nd one, i wanted my knight base to look like it was cut from a impiral city, but as pointed out need more sand and rubble, and if im lucky it will end up looking as good as yours

That base is awesome, especially the Imperial Knight face on it. That Knight itself is going to win the internet.

Thanks on the second base you can see where I've used blobs of poster tac to keep the area free where my walkers feet were going. Look forward to seeing what you come up with

I'm really loving the look of your Knight.  I was going to do a Nurgle themed one, but I really like the looks of one that's still a machine controlled by a person instead of a daemon machine.

I think Im going to steal your spiked carapace idea though..

Did you do something the center chest armor?  It looks different and wider than stock.

i have a little update sadly i didnt get to paint anything today so no knight update, but did get to build a little

 

not done but getting there my 5 man chaos space marine squad jave two advancing with bolters one magnitized so he can have special weapon if needed, one kneeling and shooting his bolter need to trim down the cobers thry are way to big but wanted them on the base for the feel of it, then the last teo the champ eith powersword and boltgun boldly standing the open think he needs a helmet, and last one marine taking cover behind wall.

had hoped for some more feedback on the squad added the last details today filled in gaps with greystuff and added chains and trophys and such, can show a few pictures.

and if i have tine ill start work on my hopefully epic abbadon!

 

now i really need your imput on this what pose should abbadon have? some kind of comanding pose?

or a dynamic combat pose?

 

its hard and i need some help here

 

planing on making a dubble base a big senic one that can open up and split into a smaller normal gaming base

i been thinking about diffrent poses like on the huron blackheart picture in the codex waling threatningly with sword low and fist up,

 

that or pointing with sword one leg slightly forward and bent fist back and out among dead foes.

 

 

want to base with dead space marines, so need to know what would be the most fitting chapter to be laying dead at abbadons feet??

How about trying to mimic the 30k Abbadons pose? Good work on the squad so far as well mate. Nice touch with the kneeling marines.

I likke the poses of all the marines. Even thought the scenery definitely adds to the pose, I'm just not that big of a fan of scenery on bases. I'd have left that for diorama's and stuff - although i guess you could call a marine on an individual base a miniature diorama? I don't know. Philosophical difference, I suppose.

 

As for Abby, I'm all for a more regal pose than his actual miniature, but I'd make him the same size as your oblits! Sorta like a true scale terminator! You have the skills, as evidenced by your obliterator sculpts. Speaking of which, I'm looking forward to the fourth! :tu:

im not really a fan of scenery on bases ither but it was just needed for the idras on this squad.

dont think ill do any others like that tbh but had to try it :)

 

size wise for abbadon im thinking termi + maybe ++ dont want him too big i have an idea that ill get the horus model one day and it be cool to have side by side, but he has to be smaller than the primarc, i still love the comments and ideas plz keep them comming,

gonna try and draw some of the poses and have a look.

 

btw anyone have ideas what would be best chapter colours for dead marines at abbadons feet??

Including a couple of those would be quite fluffy and many of them have bright schemes that would contrast with yours.

it seems blood angels is the one all of you mentioned, silly question blood effect on bloodangels power armour will that work? or wont it show well?
