Nice stuff so far. I like Lucious with the new head. Can't wait to see them painted up. Not much to say about Abaddon except for the waist but It's obvious he's still WIP so not a big deal. Work like this shows GW needs to update 40K Abaddon.

Also a little late but congrats on the tourney. Your army looked really cool all together.

Edit: Oops didn't know you were showing different poses. I'm still tired. lol I like pose 1 and 3 but not sure which one I like better.

Im a fan of the first pose and the third, but i think forte is right about the head... can you flip the talon around like he just ripped the head off? it might require too much surgery.... but it might be cool to blue tac mock up...

thank you all, i also asked the ppl at the local gaming club and pose number one seems the favorite, i started glueing and greenstuffing, but hopefully monday or tursday i should have the legs sorted, most of the model is only held togther by blueetaq on the picture, as for the marine head and the talon ill have to think about other options, ill like it to be awsome, also trying to keep true to the original model, doing my best to keep as many details as possible, then adding a little extra too, he be bigger than a normal terminator and with the modular display base ill hope it will do the character justice.

had a bit of a slow start, but managed to finish the Abaddon legs.

now its just the torso and been thinking about the lioncloth, perhaps ill make it wider with greenstuff

That is looking very promising, mate!

thanks, im already feeling slightly proud, still some sculpting to do, aswell as figuring out how to use liquid greenstuff to fix airbubbles in finecast and fiddling with the pose.

But soon, he will be ready! i hope :)

What do you use to sculpt the armor joints? I end up using a knife which results in many tightly packed ribs that vary in size. It's rather annoying.

i use some silicone claybshaper tools, one that has a sharp V shape

you might be better off using some yellow milliput and wetting it down. that will harden and is super smooth for sanding if needed

Let me help with that! Here. :tu: Seriously: milliput is awesome as a cheap and sandable filler. In addition, you can mix it with Green Stuff for a product that has all the ups of green stuff and milliput (flexible and strength for GS and drillable and sandable for MP) and none of the downsides (non-drill- or sandable for GS and grainy for MP). I cannot recommend this product enough (and no I don't have stock in the MP company ;))

Abaddon looks awesome, can't wait to see him all painted up. Is that poor corpse marine a blood angel? :P

yup, or rather half a blood angel, the other half is on the modular display base along with a few other dead blood angels

okay inbetween basing and building for ETL i been putting the finishing touches on my warmaster, so last ajustsments is the loincloth bit, so again what do you guys think? im considering makeing it wider with greenstuff.

so what do you think ? is it needed or ?

thanks bio, will wait and see if others agree, and will have time to sculpt tomorrow, been prepping bases today soooo much fun -_-

its still very hard to stop building and paint but soon i have a little tournament next weekend but other than that i can do ETL stuff, abaddon might be on my 5th vow :)
