Best Abandon I've seen in 15 years! Most use plastics with a couple of resin parts, you have used enough of the resin model to really keep the origional feel of abandon with an awesome and unique action pose.

Kudos dude!

Maybe instead of broadening the loincloth, you could also look at adding some additional gubbins to his belt: dangling chains, an Eldar spirit stone or two -- stuff like that.

The model is certainly stunning, although I do have one nitpick: If you imagine Abby's anatomy underneath all that armour, his waist seems kinda wasp-like and a bit too thin -- at least from the angles you are showing us. I think a good solution to this problem would be to cut off those hip plates leftover from the plastic legs and add some slightly beefier armour plates to his hips in order to bulk him out a little -- I think the effect is particularly noticeable on his right side (the model's actual right side, that is).

best Abaddon in 15 years ill take it thanks ;)

and i think ill widen the cloth a bit, not sure how much maybe dubble its current, also pondering what else i might be able to add like KS suggested, but might have to look in my bitbox for inspiration.

the slim waist, not sure, its same as all other terminator armour, but again will look at it could bulk it it with some gs around the center

okay Warmaster update, so tryed my hand at extending the cloth.

also added some thickness to the waist section

I have an exam at 9 a.m. and I just spent two and a half hours looking over this thread.

thanks alot, now i feel a little guilty, i wish you the best of luck on your exam

Abaddon is coming along very, very nicely. An excellent conversion that you have there, good Sir. I feel the leg needs some clean-up around the knee joint, but you've surely spotted that too.

I can't wait to see him painted in colors of the Balefire Legion.

update time, okay took a bunch of pictures, before he is ready for paint i need to flue a little sand on the bases here and there and then look over the finecadt for any bubbles that might needed filling, other than that i think he is good to go, i have pictures of size comparison and the modular magnetized display base with the other half of the blood angel and some of his friends

Quite pleased he says! So you very well should be. That my friend is simply the best Abaddon I have seen in ages.

I also demand a tutorial for the base. Purely because I want to do a display base for something but also have it useable if I ever game with it. And yes, I am going to scan back a few pages as I remember seeing something on how you did it.

It's fantastic, and I love the way you used a magnetized chunk on the scenic base to completely conceal the fact it's an extension.

The only way I could see it being better were if the Daemonblade were sharper looking, but I'm not sure how that could be done without ruining the wailing face details.

thanks ElDudeo hoping others agree :smile.: still need to add some more details.

No need to feel guilty, Mean Bro Green. I crushed it and now I never, ever, ever have to expend energy figuring out if something is a measure equivalent to a quantitative restriction or not.

Which means more time too ogle youre minis. So... MOAR!

That's really cool a great base for an amazing figure! With your painting skills that will be a stunning centre peice.

Gotta ask if what makes up the debris on the base is what I think is?

I've recently discovered the joy of combining confectionery to make bases. Paramviolets make great bricks/tiles/sstatues.? Or am I just werid

I was looking at the original pictures and was very impressed, but now I am oh so very glad you took on the various ideas given by our forum borthers(and maybe sisters, I don't really know).

It really has stepped him up a lot and I am really looking forward to seeing some paint on this guy now.

thnks for all the kind words, im very happy you guys like my work, and squeaky for the baseimg i used some broken up bits of plaster from galeforce 9 inthink the brand was, i wanted it to look like broken plastcreete.

but its mainly cork and greystuff with bits of plastic and some bass sting.

also thank you all for the feedback and ideas, im reslly gratful for the responces i get when inget stuck and ask for help.

you guys are great.

i finallly finished basing stuff for the ETL chaos have a winning streek to keep up so lets do it!
