It looks like Abaddon kept gaining bodies around his feet as the pictures went on. I feel like the marines couldn't help but fling themselves at Abaddon 1 by 1 until their corpses and gear created a mountain.

im stuck.. well not really but  I JUST CANT STOP BUILDING! i based and basecoated a whole lot for ETL and i just cant stop adding more, im itching to paint, every time i look at the chaos ETL thread i feel inspired and eager to join in and paint more, but each time i sit down i end up building, demonic marines and bikes and whatnot

 

its so hard, i have no doubt that i will complete all in time and do a maxed ouit soul vow, the confidence is overflowing and the Music is blaring atm.

 

also i signed up for a local painting compatition here so i plan on merging it with ETL but that means my 3rd vow cant be Khârn as i planned he be in vow 5 instead.

 

the compatition here will be arena style you get paired up and have 2 weeks to paint one model, the the best one wins and goes on to duel the next.

so assuming i dont get knocked out early i plan on doing arihman, lucious and Khârn and Abbadon

 

now im gonna go back to gluing bikes

I will be honest and say I am not the biggest fan of your selected color scheme, HOWEVER, you execute it very well. And really I am posting just to say that the glow effect on that flying chicken base is some of the best I have ever seen.

Wow. In all my years of bouncing around and looking for the inspiration point to return to the hobby, I think I've found it..

 

I must say, you're obliterator work is simply gut wrenchingly inspiring. So much so that reading this thread & and that of the mad Scientist Kraut, has reignighted the chaos spark I had when I first enters the hobby back in the mid 90's.

have had a very hectic scedule and havent really had time for more than the bit of ETL painting, so this thread have been a bit dormant, but did find a picture of one of my projects waiting to be complted sometime in the future, with khorne demonkin its pretty much required to have a unit of possesed here is a wip shot of my possesed champion

Wow, I missed some updates. First off, congrats on your excellent finish in the ETL.

 

Second, Ahriman is looking great, fantastic detail and a very good adaption of his 'original' colour scheme into yours.

 

I 'third' KrautScientist's comment about that excellent possessed champion looking suspiciously like Argel Tal's daemon form - nice!

 

And fourth: dude. That Lucius. Absolutely fabulous, literally as well as figuratively. What an awesome, awesome repositioning. You've made a fairly static, out-of-proportioned miniature into a very dynamic, evocative model. Wow.

If the judges pass your models over for airbrushed ones i'll, I'll...I'll not be happy.

Also, I don't get the hate against airbrushing. It's quick, it's easy, it gives results. But most importantly: it'll never be a complete replacement for normal brushing.
