hehe no they arnt cast they are bits with paint on becuase they are secondhand. gotta stick to what i can afford

Awesome work on the warp talons - the ones leaning forward to skim along the ground look far more menacing than the take off/landing pose the stock models have, plus it gives you some nice variety to a large unit.

thanks and they arnt all done yet, my plan is to paint osl around the back of the packs and i lready sculpted flames that ill add to almost all of them so they look more flying :)

now the chaos lord with jump pack, i was afraid he look just like the rest of the warptalons and since he is a lord i wanted him to stand out.

 

so i tryed to add alot of detail and character.

 

 

i wonder if you guys can see where the bitz uused in hos build is from, there was quite alot of diffrent kits used on him just the head alone is from 3 diffent kits

now with the lord they are all build and ready for paint, i was going to use them for the tournament but its in a few weeks and i just dont have the time to do them justice so they be packed away for later andd ill just have to make a new list to field.

Okay, that jump pack Lord is just freaking amazing! A perfect kitbash!

 

As for the bitz that were used, I love challenges like that, so...

 

 

• Head: Kranon's horns, a Blood Warrior faceplate and some Marine "ears". I don't know where the topknot came from, but I suspect from the Bloodwarrior kit as well...?!
• chest: Blood Warrior breastplate with skull ornaments from Kranon
• Warp Talon arms with Dark Vengeance Chosen shoulder pads
• legs: Warp Talon/Raptor legs, combined with Dark Vengeance Chosen legs
• the chains dangling from him are the chain cape from the WFB/AoS Chaos Lord Manticore
• Warp Talon/Raptor backpack with some CSM spiked and trophies grafted on

I'm still missing a bit or two, but that should just about cover it, I believe...?

I'm blown away! The model as a whole is amazing, but the mouthless head is what I still like the lost. As for the bits... I think that Kraut has it pretty much covered up! ;)

not that bad actualy fairly easy then i just filled in some gaps and added a bit of spacemarine lower front half to make it more 40k and trimmed the gorget a bit

thanks, the head is really a place where most look on a model so it gives it alot of character.

sadly i had to work on ripping my chaos knight apart, i added magnets and glued it back toghter, now i been working on a pair if gattling canons for it, gonna run it as a renegade knight.

 

doing small ajustments to models so my army is ready for transport.

adding some more details a few highlights and some freehand details here and there.

also with all the rumors going about bigger marines, im kinda thinking that truescale might end up being the new norm, and if so i cant build anymore marines and might have to redo my entire army, it's just a worry i have.

Don't worry about that, the larger marines are going to be a special unit and won't replace the normal marines.(or at least that's how I interpreted the announcement video, especially combined with the fact that they recently released quite a few plastic marine kits.)

 

Talking about marines, that knight is going to rip right through them!
