Stegadon Green > Coelia Nightshade wash > Steg green edge highlights > Sotek Green Highlights > Temple Guard Blue Highlights > 50/50 white/Temple Blue highlights. All edge highlights. That picture alone is swaying me to the ways of the Word Bearers. Join us! And we can rule the galaxy as fa... no wait... wrong setting... JOIN US ANYWAY! You have no idea the temptation. I have been wanting to make a diabolist ever since I saw the artwork. Plus, with Zardu, the sword slaves, Gal Vorbak, and the Mhara Gal their is just so much warp tainted seduction tugging at the heart in me. The psyker is also looking good! The robes look outsanding and I cannot wait to see him and the "ultimate brain-freeze" guy finished. I also know the feel about wanting a mini just to work on it. Truth is I love the model so much it has been a joy to paint. I get the feeling the second one may not turn out as well due to it not being this guy! Mainly because it took me ages to work out, and has turned out well in these photos! I think it looks dark enough to say "bad guy" but still a legitimate enough of a shade to be used by a normal guardsmen. Maybe they were from a very dark planet!? Sorry the pics is a little blurred. I don't think you are the first person to have thought that, and I know you wont be the last! :D When I bought them a friend I was in the store with pretty much said "you know that's the psyker's victim right?" until I pointed out the FW website and the fact that he has little cables sticking into his head and onto the weird ass collar thing he is wearing. This paint job may actually go all wrong when it comes to painting whatever it is that is going on around the head. I have literally no idea where to start with it. It's very very odd. I mean, it looks like a gas mask... but then it looks like it might be skin... or maybe it's both... :S Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Out of the two, this is my least favourite and I really just bought the blister for his airborne brother. However I did enjoy painting this chap much more than I thought I would, and I have been sufficiently enthused enough to want to start a renegade force in the future. Albeit just a small one to go along side my Chaos Marines. I think it will be some terrain next! Need to fill up my table with some more ruins... after that who knows... a Primarch keeps whispering the dark gods demands in my ears... so do some heresy marines....
