Legion Units - Make a wish

The FW Heresy train is about to hit us in the face (and wallets) again, so it's a time to be jolly and fun. Also to wishlist like tomorrow all resin is gone from the world and Forgeworld goes directly to its most loyal fans to ask what to do with their last reserves. Because delirium fuels imagination, that's why.

Just come up with any number of Legion-specific units (like the Palatine Blades, Rampagers, Deahshroud) for any number of Legions and add a few sprinkles of fluff (no walls of text) or any details if you want.

I'm making a separate thread instead of using the Incoming Models since that's the go-to thread for new releases.

Let's get those ideas rolling.

Since I'm going to be starting Night Lords I'll begin there with the Terror Squad (as Kol Saresk mention previously, hopefully, a unit full of psychopathic killers branded in sinner's red) and of course the Atramentar led by the Prince of Crows himself, Sevatar. Whilst not unit specific par se, I really hope upgrade packs such as chained skulls and flayed skin make an appearance.

As for the rest:

Word Bearers - Gal Vorbak

Raven Guard - The specialist infiltrator units

Iron Hands - Morlock Terminators

A templar knights unit and SIEGE terminators for imperial fists :)

Plus a model for Sigusmund and Pollux

Veteran bikes for white scars.

Altramar terminators for night lords plus sevatar!

EDITED FOR STUPID AUTO TYPE!

What do you mean by "dive Terminators"?

Templar knights are mighty fine indeed, though I find that's also an acceptable unit for Dark Angels. Maybe the Angels would have a more Greatsword-style unit.

Raven Guard are pretty thin on development. The stealth (hiper-stealth, since that's pretty much a Legion-entry requirement already) unit is a must, but I can imagine an assassination squad led by Sharrowkyn with other, similarly awesome Raven-samurai-chaps. Also, some brute force:

Terminator or veteran unit with some kind of ultra-sharp claws. Or a more obscure unit with a totemic feel, pointing towards the Legion's creation.

Hmmm ok, my wish is for endless wishes lol.

Would love to see some Dark Angel knightly/sword, or Lion Guard unit. Or even a Caliban Ravenwing unit, which should be jetbike also, maybe. A Cypher Moritat would be cool.

As these won't happen for some time...

Also am interested in Alpha Legion for some reason, how they show stealth/infiltrators should be good.

Iron Warriors siege engines also get me excited.

Apart from power armour I'm very interested in the growing Mechanicum figures. Some big killy robots or even just skitarri. I'm most impressed with the figures so far.

Even a heresy Imperial Guard detachment would get my attention, old school tanks rock!

I would like FW to do more accessory sets, like a set of generic Astartes bare heads, A set of skulls, chains and flaying blades. Maybe a set of prototype armour parts like the sarum helmet?  Also a Heresy Librarian, Warden/Chaplain, Recon Squad without Power Armour(heresy scouts!), A unit of possessed Gal Vorbak for the Word Bearers(I think FW could make them pretty scary...), A unit of Sanguinary Guard for the Blood Angels that looks more like the power-armoured Praetor's armour than the mk7 GW Sanguinary Guard, An upgrade set of Praetor-pattern armour(the mk, not the armour that the leader wears) for the Ultramarines. It already looks like each Legion will be able to create their own honour guard.

Also a unit of Heresy-era Centurions for all the Legions!..

... Or maybe not.

@Entei: Centurions as in the warsuit? Is it know if those are old patterns or a rare case of innovation?

I'm thinking Blood Angels will see the Flesh Tearers and Amit making an appearance (more beards!). Sanguinary Guard, not so sure, since GW and FW don't usually trample one another.

The Angels will most likely get a Jump Pack melee elite squad, though. It's in their blood, after all...sorry

I was joking about the Centurions since people don't seem to like them, but I think they are supposed to have been invented around M35.

Anyway, according to the fluff all the Sanguinary Guard got slaughtered aboard Horus' ship, and I doubt they were able to retrieve the suits. So it makes sense to have a heresy version. I can't really see the GW Sanguinary Guard in a FW army... Would just look silly imho.

I really hope that the Flesh Tearer will get a model, but I doubt his company will be the special units of the Legion, they are just Blood Angels that carry custom flaying-knifes and have a brutal reputation.

Skitarii, oh please ForgeWorld, make me some lovely Skitarii...

What I would like most is an add on set for each legion. Skulls and flayed skin for the Night Lords, Drake skin cloaks for Salamanders, Bionics for Iron Hands, etc. These would be relatively simple to make, and would most definitely sell boatloads.

Agreed, Paladin. I'm confident they'll eventually get down to doing that.

In spite of most Legions having one or two essential units and characters to show, the best part until now has been the new units, like the Word Bearers Circle of Ashes.

Imagine bike-mounted Destroyers for the White Scars. Or even Assault Terminators using Tulwars.

I want some skullz and skull accessories.

You know....maybe enough to make a throne out of? ;)

As for tanks I seriously want a Mastodon or a bloodhammer super heavy transport! Something to carry lots of chainaxe wielding lunatics. I'm in America dangit, I want to supersize my spartan!

I'm in Texas and everything is bigger in Texas! So I need a giant spartan that carries a mastodon and two Spartans ;)

So do you add a gunrack to the top of your spartan, hang out Ol' glory, and let your dog stick his head out of the top hatch? ;)

That's about as texan as you can get

Anything for the White Scars will be welcome. For such a unique Legion/Chapter they have had such little love over the years. I would love to see different marks of jet bikes for the scars, hopefully one based on the illustration in Brotherhood of the Storm. A Palatine Blades type unit of sublime White Scar swordsmen would be enough to make me start a small army.

I think the Iron hands deserve that rediculously good swordsman that was featured in Little Horus that i believe promptly chopped off a good half of Aximand's face.

That whole badarse hunter killer team of Iron hands and White scars were awesome
