Quotes that Struck you from the Heresy Series

Emperor's Furor

There's a quip of Malcador's from "Scars" where he tells Dorn he once cautioned the Emperor to make the Primarchs 'sisters', to avoid the inevitable rivalries.

Got a good chuckle out of that one.

How naïve of him.  Malcador has obviously never had to raise teenage daughters...

From Fulgrim, after the Iron Hands have lost a void battle to the Diasporex:

Ferrous:

"I should take the captain's head for this debacle!"

Gabriel Santar:

"That seems a bit extreme, father. He is an experienced officer and has never failed like this before. Perhaps you should only take his arms instead?"

Ferrous:

"His ARMS? What use is he to me without his arms?"

Santar:

"Very little. But I suspect more than if you remove his head."

Very pyhtonesque lol.

I'm going to add one of the newest.

From 'Scars', with you tonight, here's Jaghatai Khan:

Mortarion: "I shall take no pleasure in your destruction."

Behind the Khan, the keshig readied their blades.

‘And there is the difference between you and me,’ said the Khan, moving his dao into guard. ‘By the time I make my kills, I am always laughing'

Probably this :

Valdor turned to Russ.

‘I speak metaphorically, my lord,’ he said.

Russ nodded, still amused.

‘That’s all right, Constantin. Sometimes I
dismember metaphorically.’

I know it's not heresy time, but there is one time in Emperor's gift when Bjorn calls Logan "young one", and all the wolves (in the back) were pissing themselves from laughter, because he is like 700 years old...and all that happened in the brink of war with the "I"....I never laughed during 40k reading but that time I almost pied myself....

I must say I want to know Torgaddon's joke about the Bear and the Hunter more than the lost legions, wonder if its like Jerry Reed and his "Preacher and the Bear" song?

Plus

'Didn't you read them?'
Torgaddon shrugged. 'I figured I'd see what kind of place it was once we landed,’
Loken shook his head, saying, 'You'll never make an Ultramarine, Tarik,’
'No danger of that,’ replied Torgaddon. 'I prefer to form plans as I go and Guilliman's lot are even more starch-arsed than you. But leaving my cavalier attitude to mission briefings aside, what's this place supposed to look like then?' - Always gets a laugh out of me!

"First Blood?" Asked Erebus.

"Sanguis Extremis". Khârn said.

And the rest of the following page pretty much. So awesome.

That was nice, but the little bit before that, describing that he had chained Gorechild to his wais like the gladiators he had honoured at the ridge, was awesome...

Had Khârn finally found something to make him relate to Angron? Brought a tear to my eye...

@Lucian:

It's basically a one-page testimony by a Raven Guard survivor that was part of the first wave of drop-pods. Basically, his pod was hit (everyone aboard was safe, though), fought other Astartes and got swarmed by traitor guardsmen who were then burned off him by Iron Hands' flamethrowers (of course, he got hit by the flames, as well), a moment which scarred him forever due to the sound said guardsmen did when their charred bodies broke apart. His armour was so damaged that he had to return to base, hence why he came out of Istvaan V alive.

Oh, and all of this happened in 7 minutes, that's his testimony's punchline.

It's anguishing as hell.
