Yeah I'm grand now, things on the up ^_^

 

The wood was more time consuming than difficult as essentially it's just layered brown streaks with a knot or two thrown in for good measure, and there was a lot of panel to cover! And thanks for the praise :)

some highlights in the white gold and this cool guys is ready for a run. Or a dance.  Personally i'd try gilding the pins in the red areas of the armour. to bind together the white gold parts on the legs and the red metal parts at the collar.

I ran out of swords to represent a paragon blade except this one. I fully accept he will divide opinion. I've also accepted that the people that like it, enjoy it for the reason it looks like he's about to lob his sword. So now it's in his fluff.

Even so, I think his hilt is a tiny bit too short.

It randomly snapped off while I was looking for another bit. Spent an hour scouring the carpet, gone. Now you mention I could more than likely pinch one off a prospero chainsword....

Sweet updates!

 

Is that raptor going to toss his blade like a javelin? That is by far the most unique and awesome thing I have seen a raptor do.

"Just going to toss it at that fella as I really want to just stab him from up here. I'll jump down and pick it up when I land. Safer that way too...shouldn't shoot myself around with a rocket on my back with a giant sword in hand. You know what they say about running with scissors."

 

Those termies also look fantastic! Are the top knots from the Sisters of Silence? After rummaging through the Prospero box I noticed there were enough heads that would not be used that had beautiful locks of hair.

 

Lastly, watching Game of Thrones and in particular the Battle of the Bastards episode I have been wanting to do Night Lord breachers like these House Bolton goons:

But now after seeing your Night Lords I am torn.

 

 

These shields look awesome and highly functional for defense and stabbing seriously wounded enemies as you clear tight quarters. It is very fitting!

Firstly, thanks much :D

Now to answer your questions, primarily he's a praetor so we can call him a Raptor Lord if you will, and yeah he's going to throw it. As you've asked to its use, the idea in his, being a terror assault kind of guy is he lobs the sword, which when successful should impale some unfortunate soul, and while the enemy is there going where the bloody hell did that sword comes from, he slams in on his jump pack, rips the sword out and starts swinging like a dervish, utilising the chain on the pommel to lash out at people who think trying to keep their distance is a good idea.

Next they are indeed from the sisters of silence and I've seen a few top knotted terminators pop up since! You have to try and keep to the taller designs else they bump off the armour plate.

And finally, my techmarines are always happy to share their stabby designs with fellow battle brothers :D and there's always room on the shield to put an upside down corpse on too!!

My apologies, for some reason I see a jump pack and all I can think is "raptor" out loud. Definitely digging his style.

 

Also glad to hear those are the Sister's top knots. I will have a handful of them soon and would love to spruce up some of my boys with them.
