Could be the trophy was added so that the model would fit in thematically with campaigns set further down the road than Isstvan V, while the paint scheme is a present-day glimpse, and the White Scar is there for no reason other than to show off their look.

OR MAYBE ITS A SUBTLE-NOT-SO-SUBTLE HINT THAT SCARS MIGHT BE ARRIVING SOONER RATHER THAN LATER!??!?!?!?

/tinfoilhat

That said, I'll probably buy Him, Khârn, Sigismund and all the other legion Ballers and attempt to make a kickass diorama for all of them.

Oh sweet. That entirely slipped my notice.

Can I mention how happy I am that they went with a skull instead of the artwork roaring Atrementar lion?

It does, doesn't it? Kinda similar to the one I have on the backpack of my legion champion too.

Now don't get me wrong, I like the Atrementar lion... but a the fanged skull of an apex predator just seems so much more Sevatary.

I think I can say I got my revenge on this bastard....http://fc08.deviantart.net/fs70/i/2012/268/2/5/night_lords___sevatarion_jago_by_greyall-d5fvgjk.jpg"Death to the False Emperor"Sevatarion Jago, The Prince of CrowsI'm super happy with this guy, much better than my other depiction of him, Older Sev.

Hi all,

I haven't been on this board for a couple of years, and have missed the development of the Night Lord community.

Couple of really inspiring threads happening that Im slowly working my way through - thought I would add my warband to the mix:

Chaos Lord Oleksandr Diabolun - Duke of Halonia, Lord Commander of IV Cohort, VIII Legionne Astartes, 'The Tyrant of Carparthia', 'The Shadow Stalker', 'The Infanticidal'

http://users.tpg.com.au/neopoleon/NL/NL1.jpg

Ive got nearly 10,000 points at that standard (the Kurze Im working on just about gets me there).

The fluff and names predate Soul Hunter by over twelve months, so were created when there was the Index Astartes article, Lord of the Night and not much else - so there's not alignment with company numbers etc.

I have a Biker army as well, led by this guy:

Lord Nero Maytheron (counts as Kor'sarro Khan) - Captain of the XVIII Company, VIII Legionne Astartes, "The Harbinger of Fear", "The Death Rider", "The Oppressor of Sendrad"

Theyre both pleased to eat you (r gene seed)...

Welcome brother, and holy crap on a crapper - those are some inspiring models! Pretty please start a showcase with more of those (you've got you photography skills down too I see). Looking forward to your work!

@ Neopoleon - Wow, those are a pretty amazing standard! I love the almost unkempt, feral look you have going. They feel like such old school, untamed Chaos marines. Excellent job!

I've added both the 4th Cohort under Diabolun and the 18th under Maytheron to the roster, so take a look when you have a free bit and let me know if it looks good to go.

Welcome to the stabbiest place in the galaxy. You totally came to the right place :biggrin.:

@ Tenebris - Hey! Are you saying I can't hold a tan? ... I can't... but you don't have to be loud about it! :tongue.:

I kinda like it. "Princess of Crows" is still my favorite though :biggrin.:

For those of you who use them, where would you recommend I acquire some jewelers chain to add to my marines? And what size? That part always confuses me lol

i had the same problem, sitting in front of my screen and trying to figure out which size of chain to get

so i scoured the interwebz and found a modelling supplier and ordered a few meters of chain, mixed through the smallest sizes they had.

I had originally ordered some Gale Force 9 chain through flamesofwar.com but after 24 days and several unanswered status inquiries I've lost my patience and am now seeking another source

Miniature Chain link is usually bought in LPI units, which means "Links Per Inch". 24PI and 28 LPI is what I use, and I buy mine here: http://www.modellingtimbers.co.uk/19.html
