I think Anzu has to be my favorite yet. The tengu mask in particular turned out perfectly! How did you make/find that?

Glad you guys like it! The tengu mask took some research to find, but eventually I found some screen caps from a t.v. show ("Teen Wolf" Season 3, Ep. 18 "Riddled") . The rest was done with a wee bit of photoshop magic!

Here is a tantalizing look at a possible introduction page for (I hope) a future collaborative project. This really gives it a more official Horus Heresy stamp of realism. I hope you all like it!

What I did was take a few pages from some of the existing Horus Heresy books as a reference, and using a bit of photoshop magic (and a lot of patience), I was able to create my introduction page for the Lightning Bearers Legion. The Legion symbol itself, I carefully drew by hand, and was able to change the colors and texture utilizing CS6 to match existing Legion symbols. Then did some careful cutting, pasting and resizing, and viola! My own intro page was created!

Just spent hours reading through this whole thread and don't regret a minute of that time! This a fantastically well thought out and executed home brew for the IInd legion and can't wait for more.

 

I too love making my own chapters, and am enthral led by the lore of 40k/30k but have never thought to tackle the lost legions but this is just brilliant

They've fought against the 1st Legion on a few skirmishes around 1500 points.
