The Lost and Forgotten: Building the II Legion

Thoughts are with you brother. As a volunteer fire fighter I have seen more then my fair share of houses go up in smoke and it is never easy to recover from a shock like that. Excellent news everyone is safe and as others have said houses and models can be replaced but lives can't. Just look on it as an opportunity to start the armies again even better then before. Stay safe brother.

Have you had a chance to go through the wreckage yet? Hopefully there is something salvageable in it, even if only for perhaps a heavily mutated army. In any case, I am glad you and your family are ok, and wish you the best of luck in the recovery from this.

"Fiery passion" Damn, you beat me to the pun there.

Thanks for the update Athrawes, you know you are among the best community anyone can offer. My condolences to your fallen warriors but I cant imagine what you and your family must be going through. Kudos to you for being a strong character for them, the children especially. I hope you all get home again soon and wish this terrible business passes quickly.

But for now at least I have one word for you to make you happy.... MINIBAR!!!! :D

Just wanted to let you guys know that my family has been allowed to move back into the house, and life is beginning to resume. Now that I'm home, I've been able to take stock of what was lost.

If I'm being honest, I'm going to miss my stockpile of Classic Citadel paints the most. 12 pots of Snot green, you shall be missed. Three pots of Tentacle pink, I shall miss you most of all.

Hm, this actually gives me a bit of inspiration for making remnants of the XI Legion. Though I am not much into SM models (my MEQ are usually enhanced regular humans or beasts), but the challenge of writing a believable story and the gratification of having a fairly unique 40k force is something I could get behind.

"I could smite you with a thought. I could hold out my hand just so; and turn you ash.

But I won't.

I'd rather tear a hole in the fabric of reality, thrust myself through a land that never was; just so that I might look you in the eye as I bring your world crashing down around you.

I am a spectre.

I am Become death.

And I am coming for you."
