Thanks chaps ! The pose was not to difficult to obtain with a few cutting, repositionning and GSing the joint (esp. legs and right hand).

Now the last one before the sergeant

The 24th brotherhood was leaning toward specialisation in void assault during the HH, hence the focus on heavy infantery (Mk III marines and Cataphractii incoming). At the beginning of the battle of Terra, the brotherhood was at the forefront of counter assault forces used to slow and hamper the deployment of traitor forces.

Thus, the 24th suffered heavy losses and some squads were merged together. I envision the battle of Terra itself as a "bloody mess", that's why my forces will mix different Mk of armour and do not have the clean organisation that could have been seen at the beginning of HH. But I will avoid Mk7 to keep the HH look.

This to explain the look of this marine, reinforced Mk III not being the signature of White Scars at all. But I like him and the brutal appearance is matching with WS. BTW, he's a tribute to Kapturowski fantastic Iron Hands (I stole the gorget from his army, kudos to him).

Man, these never fail to impress - love the way you've managed to pull of the weighty, immoveable feel of the MK III whilst still maintaining a very White Scars vibe - makes me feel the Vth would be perfect allies for the Xth - Iron Hands Heavy Tanks & Mechanised Infantry accompanied by White Scars Fast Armour, Recon Units & Scout Vehices.

Plus the contrast of black iron & white ceramite tied together with the red spot colour would look... drool.gif

Keep up the awesome work thumbsup.gif

Thanks all for the kind words

BCK, I'll try to do a step by step, you'll see my method is quite simple. I'm sure you can do the same, or even better.

Now to the next one, the squad is progressing surprisingly fast smile.png

Battle of Terra – Sector ZD6A3

The last tongues of sunlight were competing with the halos of the fires burning from the artillery bombardment. Shisamu was leaning in the trench, waiting for the last echoes to vanish in the distance.

"They probably still outnumber us" he wondered. "Time to take your responsibilities as a true Chogorian, Shisa".

The veteran unlocked his helmet and raised prudently above the concrete bank, knowing the enemy was close. Very close.

Shisamu took his most haughty voice “Who is you leader, your chief or whatever name you give to that traitor bastard ? "Wait 3 seconds, Shisa".

Is he too coward to face me in a man to man duel ? Let's end this day in honor and put to the truth his martial skills !”

After a while, a dark purple silhouette raised from behind the plasteel rubbles, his MkIV armour engraved with signs bearing no meaning for a human mind. From his distorted helmet emerged a piercing voice.

I, Edas Ascelios, will enjoy to drink your tears when you'll meet death upon my blade. You, servant to a liar, know nothing about honor.

The gunshot echoed like the thunder, several meters behind Shisamu's back. Mixed pieces of purple ceramite, skull and brain tissues spilled on the rocks behind the beheaded body, which stood several seconds before falling back in the trench.

The White Scars sergeant was laughing as he raised his blade and charged out of the ruins, the entire squad behind him, their war cry filling the silence.

Honour lies in victory, Edas”

I hope there isn't too much mistakes in my small text, it's difficult to write fluff in a foreign language... smile.png

Thank you very much Russ Brother, the most difficult thing is not to write in my home language (French) and then translate, but to write directly in English.

@ Dange, the blood is made with the common technique of mixing Tamiya gloss red X27 and smoke X19, and then applying it (quickly) to the mini.

And to those feeling the urge to paint White Scars, go ahead ! I'm feeling lonely (too much traitors here :))

Thanks everyone for the incredible support, it keeps me more than motivated.

I actually like the way you write, the non-perfect English that occurs gives the White Scars that Samurai/Mongol speaking a non-native language feel which is very cinematic. In my head I read that in the way you would hear an ancient Japanese warrior speaking English.

Keep it up! :)
