The only word I can think of is brutal.

And the only word I can think of to reply to that is 'thanks'!

That Predator is to be heir to all my belongings and estate. Let it be known!

It will bear your things with honour. Except the money. It will spend it all on booze.

That is pretty darn cool!

You're getting very good at these custom vehicles, buddy.

Cheers! I love building vehicles and I try to push my skills with every new project. :-)

Is it weird that I had a killer girl-crush on Laina when she came out?

Depends.

Burn! Maim! Kill! BURN! MAIM! KILL!!

Melted goo for the blood god!

That tank. God-Emperor, that tank.

Emperor preserve us.

He won't.

OK after all replies (thanks again guys  )I am in need of some feedback.

http://i35.photobucket.com/albums/d185/mkruijff/Night%20Lords%20WIP/WP_20140403_010_zps00537814.jpgI'm a bit further in the build - the tank's back is finished now.

I also opened up the track in the front like a Land Raider has. What do you guys think of the tracks like that?

So the feedback I really want from you guys is about the turret. I have the idea of putting one or two exhausts on it, but am not sure about the look (too Orky?). Tell me your opinions!

After the turret it only needs some riveting and a *lot* of trophies and skulls on spikes.

Yep, I'll back up Dragonkin on that one. The single exhaust looks awesome and provides space for a grisly trophy or two to counterbalance it and "Nightlordify" it a bit.

The only thing I'm not crazy about is that odd little sideways triangle bit at the end of the barrel on the right side. A sight doesn't do too much good off at an odd angle like that ^_^

Ok guys, thank all for the comments and feedback!

Pro two exhausts: Barabbas Sagolan, Sockwithaticket and Secretpaintgeek

Pro one exhaust: Dragonkin Arenis, Flint13, The_Chaplain

Three against three...

So Helterskelter is the tie-breaker with his argument pro-assymetry!

Plus both Dragonkin and Flint13 pointed out that with one exhaust there was more room for trophies!

Also:

The only thing I'm not crazy about is that odd little sideways triangle bit at the end of the barrel on the right side. A sight doesn't do too much good off at an odd angle like that :happy.:

I serioulsy never considered that bit to be a sight! I just thought it was a hinge to have machines dismount the weapon from the socket of the Knight's arm... But you're right it looks odd so I removed it. Thanks for pointing it out

The only thing I don't like is that I know it won't be painted in iron an chevrons.

Sweet ride, man. Burn 'em all.

Cheers! I got my friend to switch from loyalists to Iron Warriors, perhaps I can convince him to make a showcase for your fix :wink.:

That thing looks like it could melt/burn/whatever a hole through a Reaver! I dig it. Can't wait to see it whit all the bells and whistles your other vehicles have.

Your wish is my command. Here they are:

What an awesome concept!

Also, not that it matters now, but I do think the single exhaust is a better look.

I have to admit though, that my first thought was "how many times can it fire before the chassis is wrecked?" :)

SO! These will be the last WIP shots, as I think the tank is finally finished. There's a couple of changes:

1. I already mentioned the extra leg trophy.

2. There's some chaos-like spiky banding added, which was a pain in the behind to figure out how to do them properly.

3. The biggest change is that I decided against the land raider like open tracks up front and 'fixed' it so it looks like the original build. This tank needs to appear like a beast, and the open tracks made it look too small. I think I'll redo the conversion on a future Night Lords Slaaneshi CC squad's Rhino.

Well that is just a beautiful machine

Thanks!

DITTO !!!!!

That is one big gun you have there. The torsos are going to look great painted up

Yeah the Sack 'o corpses are awesome.

Huzzah! More progress on The Beast!

It looks beautiful!

dem trohpies...

I added an additional leg!

Freakin' sweet.

And I know your paintjob will definitely do this killer justice.

Thanks Flint13!

You sir, have some great ideas and the penache' to make them reality. I really like this thread :smile.:

Thanks man, I'm glad you like it. Hope you get some ideas from it.

Thanks, I think I made the right choice indeed. About the technical side of things - I think the extra armour of this tank is probably heat-resistent? The question is more: how many times can it fire before the barrel needs to be replaced. Edited by Augustus b'Raass
