Very impressive centurions! So I looked through your tutorial, and I have to ask. Barring details like the servo arms and what not, these centurions were made principally out of the centurion model kit? If I were to recreate these models, I would only need the centurion box, a bit of plasticard/tubing, a sharp knife, and steady hands, right?

@ Basswave:  Yup they are.  Just primarily shifting the shoulderpads up and replacing the arms with weapon mounts.  :)  I wanted the armour shields, and those took the longest time to get right.  You could just forgo them and they can work as automated weapons.  I felt the shields added a more structured look to these guys, that's all.

Okay Scuzzy, wow. Just... effing wow. Saw this thread a while ago with your land-train style bike. Was super impressed by that alone. Clicked the oh so friendly "follow" button on the thread then. Life's been life so I hadn't been able to follow it as of late but today I have a day off from everything so I just through and looked as it all again. God damn boy. You are a converter to aspire to (which I am by the way). and this thread has just given me inspiration on how to approach 3 separate projects. Thanks for that.

@reckoning, basswave... thanks!

@maverike_prime: Thanks man.  Hope things are working out better for you.  Glad to inspire.  There's so much awesome stuff out there that I'm still learning about as well.  :)  Care to share what you might be working on?

Base update to 32mm!  25mm circular saw.  Messy but doable.  32mm has the structural integrity to maintain its shape when cut.  It is taller than the normal 25mm base but it can be easily filled up.  Once pumiced, it wil all look fine!

It has been a busy while.  Sorry for being away for so long folks.  Here is a 'Cypher' model made for a recent LGS event.  We were to design our own Cypher so I decided to have a version of him in my army.  I wanted a very muted background pose, unlike most of the versions we have seen.  I felt that having him as a background character would be pretty different.

Yup.

That is quite simply outstanding.

Absolutely befitting of the great schemer, overlooking the chaos that he has caused that will ultimately lead to his mission's ultimate success, already planning 3 moves ahead.

Beautiful.

Absolutely love the pose, especially since it must have taken quite a bit of work to get right! The enlarged shoulder pad and sword are also fantastic.

I will say I'm not sold on the head, though. I understand that you were probably going for the mysterious angle, above all else, but that particular head has always struck me as almost ridiculous due to the way the hood obscures almost the entire face (and renders the wearer blind, presumably). The head is therefore the only part of the model I would change. Nevertheless, fantastic work!

Knocked out for a HR.

(part of me imagines his left hand is in the process of unholstering a gun, but it's probably unfeasible/physically constrained)

I will say I'm not sold on the head, though.

Knew you'd say that ! laugh.png

Tremendous work scuzz.
