I'm hung up on the raptors. There is so much trim for such little reward. Aside from that I am hoping to be done with my vow by the end of the month. After these raptors there are no more units of low point models. Just characters and vehicles.

 

Yes - I have never painted so much trim as on Raptors (or moreso Warp Talons - given the fins on their Jump Packs).

 

Trim for the Trim God!

Don't pick it out. Wash and a light dry brush should do for Iron Warriors. That trim did my head in big time.

Looking good guys.  Some of the sheer number of models painted here make my head spin.

 

Anyway some progress shots and a shot of Ahirman assembled as a before shot.  Right after this I broke his staff hand off, but then did it right and used some rod to make it stay.  primer applied after this post.

So my friend has found some more of my models. Looking forward to more good news.

 

Although how my Imperator ended up being disassembled worries me.

 

 

So where were the models in question?  I am also intrigued as to why the Imperator would be dissambled.

So yeah, sorry it took so damn long. I wasn't expecting the productivity hit caused by MCM Expo, and I tried to batch paint all 15 in one batch, which kinda defeats the whole point of the method. These'll be done 5 at a time, with Huron being saved until last.

Ahh right, I've used some of their parts but not the actual Exos themselves. They look quite cool with their layered armor plates and chest LBE.

@ Augustus: Great job on those raptors, from the shade of blue to the bases... Top notch stuff.

 

@ Dragonlover: A great completion and a hefty follow-up. Well done mate. 

 

Just to give you a brief update, you are currently 4th with 16.3k pts just behind the DAs with 16.6k pts. Then it's BTs with 20.1k pts and leaders are the AoDs with 23.5k pts.

 

So let's make this a productive weekend and catch up! :)

Which brings me to my second vow:


 


I, Augustus b'Raass, answer the call of E TENEBRAE LUX III. I vow to complete from Codex: Chaos Space Marines, the following Chaos Lords with of total value of points on or before August 1st: 1 Typhus (230) and 1 Chaos Lord with Terminator Armour, Lightning Claw and Power Fist (132 points) for a total of 362 points. Success will bring eternal glory to me and to the 47th Company of the Night Lords VIII Legio Astartes, known as the Night's Reapers. We bow to no God. We are terror incarnate. Failure will doom me to bear the Badge of Shame until the year-end.

@Augustus. I've added that to the Soul vow list I have. Still need more points though (1,096 at least) but...wow on the quality of the finished vow!

Cheers mate! And no worries about the soul vow. I have a Cypher, Be'Lakor, Forgefiend, Dreadnought, and Ahriman coming up. I just found the big vow annoying as short deadlines work better for me. I might also do the two 'Predator' Land Speeders, and another regular dreadnought. Also, I still have two contemptors and a Lord of Skulls on legs lying around. Something like this:

My main issue is build time, as the contemptors, the speeders and the lord of skulls are all massive conversions... Oh well, at least I have the massive bulk of infantry done.

When I was forced to leave CO, I moved to my friends place with his family. I went to school in Chicago, and left most of stiuff in storage. His mom lost all of my stuff. So now he's gradually finding it in his time off, but neither of us live there.

 

Anyway, I just noticed... some kind of brushes at my job. I figured I should try and buy supplies from work.

just got to sculpt a furry leg on a daemon prince and put heads on a few guys and ill be taking my before pik for vow 2. then ill be overdosing on energy drinks and coffee to get as much done over the weekend as i can. *serious game face*
