So here's my first attempt at a scratchbuilt jump pack for my BoP marines. It's off-center as apparently drilling guide holes by eye isn't 100% a great idea, and definitely oversized, but I think it's workable. The concept is roughly a halfway design between MKII/V jumppacks and the MKVI we see predominantly in M41. I'm thinking cutting down the supports between the turbines and the pack entirely. Any other suggestions?

Below is the pack modeled by The Unseeing, Reclusiarch of the Blood Owls, who's been sitting on my desk in need of a pack and a new arm for a while, Werk it, baby!

Tested out the hobby lamp I got for Christmas and I have to say I'm very happy with it indeed! It has daylight coloured LEDs which will last for ages, four brightness settings and is poseable. Here it is in action:

Happy new year all!

As well as the Dreadnought and Techmarine you can see in the pic above, I did some work on my Sicaran today. I literally can't remember when I started it so if feels good to have made progress - probably about 85% done now...

Did you have any trouble fitting the Frag Cannon on the Venerable Dread Body?

Same arm sockets, so there should be no problems!

It's actually a little different. I did the same thing and the frag cannon is a tiny bit loose (so it works if you don't bump the table, but it could fall off while moving the model). I just put a lot of paint on the rim of the hole to make it a little tighter.

Browsing the Facebook BA page today, I came across this blurb and one of the comments was that the individual would be doing a SOB army dedicated to Sanguinius.

Yep - Sanguinala is basically Imperial Christmas-Easter, with Sanguinius further hyping up the space-Jesus comparisons.

My excuse for getting priests into the army is that they are "Sanguinites", worshippers of the fallen angel, possibly even failed chapter aspirants who showed faith, but ultimately failed the trials or rejected implantation but survived and vowed to serve the chapter in his name - honoured to fight alongside his vision.

A Sisters order based around him sounds pretty damn awesome - something I may even explore, hell, if Celestine's rules are better than Sanguinor I know who I might be using in his stead...

Yesterday, I finished up a Predator Annihilator that I started almost a year ago. I also finished painting this guy:

Today I finished painting the legs and bases for his 9 friends. Anyone who wants more pictures can get them here.

Assembled the Assault Cannons on the Leviathan. I cutted them a bit down but not as short as i´ve seen in another conversion.

Hope you like it.

That is all...

Scorpius parts washed... Just need to pick up some more spray undercoat now. Meanwhile, the Stormraven finally has two coats of red. Just need to decide if I can be bothered with doing a third, sort the canopy, higights...
