Today I got my 5 man death company squad jut about ready for painting once the ETL starts and spent about an hour trimming mold lines off legs for a vanguard vet squad and gluing them to bases. It's not much but a little bit at a time the next few weeks will keep me painting once May starts rather than assembling.

Yeah, I've tried cleaning it a few times already, no dice so far. I have an Evolution for a few years now and I often have problems with it doing that, but usually a good clean is enough to fix it. And I just replaced the nozzle and needle a month ago. Perhaps it's an issue with H&S brushes, if your Infinity has the same problem? Maybe it's time to look into a different airbrush, what made you buy that Badger?

The H&S Infinity can be temperamental but it's good for fine detail work thanks to the handy trigger lock on the back. The Badger is a great workhorse, very reliable, but with no trigger lock it can be a bit heavy handed for detail work. Still I find myself going to the Badger more often than the H&S. I've heard good things about Iwata too - if I get another one it will probably be an Iwata as I think they're the middle ground between Badger and H&S.

I use a badger 360, which is like the patriot, but can do gravity or siphon feed. The cup is pretty small, but enough for detail work. It has a trigger lock (if you mean a screw bit on the back that limits how much you can pull the trigger) and while it comes with a big .7mm needle that's good for base coating or tanks, I have bought .2 and a .3 needless for smaller details and effects, and that makes it real precise. Great workhorse. Easy to clean. I just put some thinner in with water into a bottle, or just hot water, then siphon feed until it blows clean. I take it apart some times, but then see it's not necessary.

These arrived today. I'll be using the graviton gun and lightning guns as grav guns for my two bike squads (with the ETL in mind), while the Breacher Shields will be used on my melta Command Squad (the best part is, I have enough Shields to make two!).

I also had this arrive, which will be going into my bitsbox. I'll likely use the sword for my counts-as Cypher (again, with the ETL in mind) but the rest can wait. I know the combi-flamer will end up on a Tactical Sergeant no doubt whilst the power fist may well be on a bike Captain/Chaplain kitbash one day.

Airbrushes have various seals and o-rings to prevent leaks, and it sounds like you've got a blown seal. Dependent on the price of the air brush, it may be worth it to rebuild the internals.

That's a good point - if you contact Harder & Steenbeck they will send you replacement seals for free...

Finished a Terminator Librarian kitbash of Kaerlan; got Astorath all cleaned and ready for paint; got a jump Librarian underway; finished my Librarian Dread.

I suppose it was a good day for the Librarius....

Also got bits laid out for 7 Vanguard Vets and got two bases done on my last unbased squad (10 man tac squad).

You've probably guessed from these, so I'm not spoiling much to say that I lost three games against Eldar over the weekend.

I don't believe in luck/karma/etc. I would suggest that each game was closer than the result appeared and I don't feel I was particularly out-played, but I have been feeling a little flat the past couple of days. What annoys me is the time it takes me to play the game (taking notes for the battle reports doesn't help, but it's neither here nor there really) and the mistakes I make. Basically, I'm not "match fit".

As a general, I would hope I'm on the right side of average and thus, I am considerably irked when I read things back and see what I've done wrong and where I've gone wrong. Why couldn't I have seen that during the game? My knowledge of the game is up to scratch but, how would I go about becoming "match fit" without playing more often?

If I go for some time without playing a match, I like to go on youtube batrep binges.

I've picked up loads of do's and don'ts from watching marathons of Miniwargaming, Strikingskorpion, CommisarWarrick, TeamClueless, 40KScribe, etc.

Even if its just on in the background when I'm painting / washing up / on the can, i still absorb bits of tactical info here and there.

Making Progress on my 10m tac squad. The other 5 are almost at this point, Arms and Guns are drying and Backpacks are next.

Again, apologies for my Potato Phone Pics.
