Last few bits on Karlean now (a highlight here, purity seal there, etc) and he's done.

What to do after though? :ermm:

Just dropped him... Guess he's not going to be finished tonight after all :sad.:

Is it a concrete floor or something? My cats knock stuff of my desk all the time without anything other than superficial damage but this is onto carpet or plastic.

Well, I guess my knight lost the stubber on the chest but I always forgot about that thing when I play anyways.

To ensure everyone has tomorrow evening to do any last minute details, I'll be hard closing the RTS on Friday the 1st December at 1000 UTC (0200 PST, 0400 CST, 0500 EST, 1000 GMT, 1100 CET, 1800 AWST, 1930 ACST, 2000 AEST). Hope you are all done by then!

Considering using the Cherry Red scheme from my Test Primaris for all my BA in the future... It was rather speedy and painting all the different elements in my old scheme is rather long.

Hmmmmm...

the red is great however I really think it could do with some silver edge highlights to really make it pop.

Adding more medium to the wash miiiiight have the same effect, but I'd try the highlight first.

Good work!

It actually fell into my lap when the model holder slipped out of my hand. Still enough to ping Karlaen off his base - taking some rocks with him - and bend his iron halo :/

There is some highlights, I think the picture and gloss just doesn't show them very well and blurrs it all.

Before the red the whole model was sprayed silver, then gold in short bursts from above, then edged with a lighter silver :smile.:

All those steps? I don't see any of them on the model to be honest.

We should have a kick off event to go with the codex release. Start it on the drop date and have it run a month.

Like Must Paint a NEW unit from the codex. So things we didn't have access to before, like Landspeeder Storms.

I like this idea, but maybe run 2 months (to allow people to spend any holiday money they get on their purchases, and allow for those with travel/family commitments)?

In the mean time ... *Goes back to refreshing the Warhammer Community page every five minutes*

Well that makes the decision which unit to paint easy...there's only the Primaris Lieutnant to chose from "units we didn't have access to before" for a Primaris army. :biggrin.:

...As I said, picture doesn't really convey it :dry.:

Well. All in.

Purchased the batallion and the special edition package of BA. We shall see how it works out.

Cheers and Happy early Sanguinula.

Despite having a ridiculous amount of BA :cuss already, just ordered a REDACTED by the Ordo Matrimonium Preservicus] amount of stuff.

Say, GW...it’s amazing what happens when you come up with creative, effective, and (potentially) competitive rules, isn’t it?

...imagine what I’d do if you gave Dante rules befitting his character and brought DC back to their glory?

On a different note...any recommendations for heads that have long hair yet clean shaven? Aka the 80’s look? Can’t stand the Karlean-style mop, but can’t have ALL my guys be bald. Most long hair heads seem to go the Viking/SW route

I did a thing today!

The beginning of my Primaris Knights of Blood.

Head are coming soon once they get delivered and squad&chapter markings are obviously still missing as well.

Quick calculation has the Sons of Sanguinius battalion bundle coming in just shy of 1845. Lots of groovy groovy goodness. If I add the Dark Imperium flavors to it its going to be well into the 2500. I may swap a couple things here or there. But looks like brilliant fun.

On the Legacy marine front, I have a lot of good ideas brain storming. Just need to actually get my hands on that sweet sweet book.

Maybe Raptors? The dark green will look nice with the red and won't be confused with also black armoured death company.

As Mort says.

Raven guard Devs, intercessors, tac marines, hellblasters;

Blood Angel Reivers, Sanguard, Death co, scouts.

One side of me is like "Yeah, this is the way to do it!"

The other is like "that's SO GAMEY THOUGH!"
