Do you have an old metal Bjorn, he has a tiny wee wolf skull on his left (your right panel) could maybe press mould a skull from that.

 

You could also get one from his sarcophagus too, from both old and new Bjorn dreads. Not sure if they are small enough for what you want plus they will be flat on one side, so easier to fit on armour without bulging too far and needing filed down.

 

I plan to be a bit more liberal with the torso's, do the panel bits different colours for different squads, that kind of ting...

My problem with the mk3 torsos is that there are only 5. 5 separate, unique pieces that totally lose their appeal to me when they are repeated across an army.

How many would be better?

@dantay: I hadn't thought of creating my own mold, I'll have to look into that

 

@uberwolve: I woulda like a minimum of 10. That way I can mix a few in with the already available models and still have most of a unique look per squad. Like gw's kit can do

I have blue insta-mould that you heat in boiled water, it goes really soft and you then press on. Sets in a minute maybe less, plus it is re-useable.

 

Otherwise green stuff can wok in a pinch, but takes a long time to cure. Also remember to put a dab of oil on te green stuff so it doesnt stick to whatever you are trying to make a mould of :D

Or maybe a small dremel bit to grind out some runes. I could probably do that if I fount the bit and a working dremel.

One of the guys on the Space Wolves forums would drill a hole in his models, fill it with gs and then carve a rune or 2 in the GS, which is easier than trying to dremel into a plastic model.

Sadly, Perturabo took a bad fall after I assembled him, breaking numerous parts of him (the hammer snapped badly, both of his wrist mounted guns, the ammo chains snapped in multiple places.)

I had to work with what I had intact or was fixable. 

to balance out the destruction of the above, I actually found his head that I thought earlier lost.

A little sad about Perturabo, but he is a filthy traitor, so a fall from grace was ineveitable.... Glad you found te head... Hoping that there will be a way to salvage the ammo feeds. If not, tap up Augustus B'Raas... He got some really cool ammo feeds for his deredeo that he did a while back, If I recall it is scaled ammo in metal feeder links and yo can remove the rounds etc

 

The deathsworn look epic!, liking the skull on the armour, any chance of seeing th pads up close after a wash of agrax or nuln il, will really help the detail pop.

 

And that thegn & JArl... Officially consider them bad-ass, and ideas stolen :tu:

Perturabo works for me right now, and the ammo feeds were too feeble for me to fix them. I've no doubt a more talented person probably could, but my method of glue, tears and curses is currently inadequate. 

 

I'm happy with the deathsworn right now, but I dont see myself making more until I get more bits in, so it may be a while. 

 

Im not happy with how bright the Jarl's hair is, and tried to darken it once already. But it'll work, and the axe is more important in my book.

Both look good.

 

I agree with DC12 that the heavy bolter comes out too far forward and makes the arm effectively useless to wield the axe or use the hand at all.

 

However moving it back would look better it creates other issues.

 

I am considering an armature similar to the Tech priests to carry the HB or using a storm bolter but with the HB muzzle & drum.

 

Either that or both hands holding the HB with amm o feeds a la Rambo and the axe across his back :D

On one hand, all i did was use the autocannon arm and chop out the barrells. However, removing the previous arm while trying to save the pelt had me cracking the should pad, so Im unlikely to play with this further and consider it done...I dont use special characters enough to put more parts into what essentially is a gimmick character.
