NoPityNoRemorseNoFear
Hi everyone, I said I'd post my new reinforcements today but I've been so excited with basing and moulding things that I have delayed putting anything up. I hope you all like what I've done!Without further ado, here we go!http://i1377.photobucket.com/albums/ah78/Btemp93/temporary_zpspbupg2hi.jpg http://i1377.photobucket.com/albums/ah78/Btemp93/temporary_zpsbub6ehyr.jpg http://i1377.photobucket.com/albums/ah78/Btemp93/temporary_zpsie4d0p0j.jpg http://i1377.photobucket.com/albums/ah78/Btemp93/temporary_zpsprlfomun.jpg Note: I forgot my bitz box and I was going to cover the nemesis sword "hole" with a templar sword icon but apart from that it is pretty complete!I have also been trying out this new moulding technique and I am pretty happy with the results!http://i1377.photobucket.com/albums/ah78/Btemp93/temporary_zpsqdwqdxyw.jpg http://i1377.photobucket.com/albums/ah78/Btemp93/temporary_zpsflyvoutn.jpg http://i1377.photobucket.com/albums/ah78/Btemp93/temporary_zpshxsnsizp.jpg http://i1377.photobucket.com/albums/ah78/Btemp93/temporary_zpspmukvdyv.jpg Please note This is a heroic templar scenic which this is going to a friend, he never beats me normally so I'm letting him have this one victory.I have also decided to finally complete Grimaldus, he is an iconic member of our chapter and is also in need of a new base!http://i1377.photobucket.com/albums/ah78/Btemp93/temporary_zpsj98op4sp.jpg http://i1377.photobucket.com/albums/ah78/Btemp93/temporary_zpsxygfkpl3.jpg http://i1377.photobucket.com/albums/ah78/Btemp93/temporary_zps3bcdv1kh.jpg P.S. NoPityNoRemorseNoFear
Hi everyone, I have just given Grimmy a makeover. NoPityNoRemorseNoFear
Alas this glorious time of forging warriors of the imperium has already drawn to a close, back to uni tomorrow. How time flies. Done a wee bit oftweaking to Grimaldus (the shoulder guards are now black/white instead of white/black) and I have added a few chains to a few honour guard andhelbrecht. If anyone would like to see those or any more of my models ask here, otherwise I will be stuck in a few books until Christmas. I have checked numbers and it seems I have to make a few more chainsword initiates to balance things up so I won't be completely warhammerstarved. I didn't play any games at home this time so sadly there won't be any battle reports. I hope you have enjoyed seeing my templars as much as I had making them. Until I return, that's all folks! Marshal Mattias
Grim is looking really great, the base adds a lot to his attitude and style. I'd definitely like to see some of your chained Templars (who wouldn't?) especially Helbrecht, as I don't see that done often! Good luck with your studies, and I'll look forward to your next burst of hobbying ;) NoPityNoRemorseNoFear 1 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/301060-the-sanctus-crusade-sigismund/page/3/#findComment-4209815 Share on other sites
NoPityNoRemorseNoFear
Thanks alot! I still have way too much to paint and the HH boxed set is going to see that list get bigger. Note none of these models have been painted sadly and I have some nice *ahem* dark angels *ahem* heads that I got from forgeworld which have a templary look to them. Honda
Excellent work brother! Please continue. Finally, do you know how to change the name of the topic? When you want to change the name of the heading, go to the first post, edit using the "full editor" option (i.e. not the quick edit version) and that will open up the title for changes/updates. NoPityNoRemorseNoFear
Thanks Honda, Yeah Forgeworld has some great bits, I have only ordered from there twice so I just save up ideas until I can afford them all!I have made a list of all of the initiates I have right now and not including Power weapons or special weapons the count came to: Bolter Initiates: 27BP + CCW Initiates: 16So it looks like I have a few more melee templars to make, nothing done as of yet. Also, I don't know how many of you use the current paint scheme of the 4th ed codex but I've found it is really easy to sub in my sternguard/vanguard for sword bretheren in my crusader squads, it's great because you can get SB with any combination of weapons this way! Acebaur
I use the traditional scheme from the 4th book. All of my SB are painted the same, regardless of whether they are Stern or Vanguard etc. However, unless I upgrade the Sgt to veteran when I run other squads like Tacticals, or Devs I don't use a SB model. Instead I use an Initiate who has a knee pad painted white with a black cross on it to indicate he is the veteran initiate leading the squad. NoPityNoRemorseNoFear
Hello everyone! Santa has been very kind and given me a unit of Centurions to play around with! When I first laid eyes on them in 2013 I thought the models weren't the prettiest and after I read the rules I was further upset by the superiority of the Devastator model compared to it's assault counterpart. After receiving the new model and having a look at the new codex I've been glad to see the assault version has been buffed, Both Centurion variants are now 5pts cheaper but Grav costs an extra 5 points more for the Devastator whilst the assault's prices are largely the same.I have also found that Siege Drills are now also S10 instead of S9 which makes taking on necron overlords, Tau Buffmanders and the like much more feasible. So because of this I have decided to model my new crusaders as assault centurions, It looks easy enough to magnetise them for alternative *AHEM(ranged)AHEM* weapons. So far I have began work on my first model, I don't like several factors with these models so I have tried to reduce the width of the model by getting rid of the hurricane side chest bits, I will instead have robes coming down each side and may tie it together at the waist with a chain. You can see where I have done so far right here, obviously lots of bits and bobs to still add: http://i1377.photobucket.com/albums/ah78/Btemp93/temporary_zpsxvsdf3ve.jpgI am not quite sure whether I like the groin guard but the model does look quite thin-waisted without it, I am also thinking about adding a cataphractii - esque gorget (neck guard) if anyone thinks that might look good. I am also plannning my other two to be running but I wanted to start with an easy pose to test the model. If anyone have any models to inspire me it would be greatly appreciated!Thoughts and opinions on what I have already/planned would be fantastic too! I think robes are a really good idea. Somebody around here did robes and they cover over the waist and groin area, thus giving you a more Templar looking body. 3. Gorget = YES! NoPityNoRemorseNoFear
Hi everyone, I have done very little with the Centurions since my last post so I won't put any photos up but I have managed a few other side projects!I haven't done much with the cent's because I still am not great at sculpting Greenstuff so I've decided to hide from it for a few days (technically I should be doing Uni work so this is procrastination at it's best!).Here are a few new and old models that you may recognise from when they weren't painted!New Vehicles!http://i1377.photobucket.com/albums/ah78/Btemp93/temporary_zpsqkbvlvsx.jpghttp://i1377.photobucket.com/albums/ah78/Btemp93/temporary_zps1lqrbant.jpg http://i1377.photobucket.com/albums/ah78/Btemp93/temporary_zpsyylohoja.jpg I am pretty happy with how the magnitised Chaplain/ Ironclad came out, It's only taken me a year and 7 days to paint(since I posted them here atleast)! Another set of models that I have shamefully ignored for a while:http://i1377.photobucket.com/albums/ah78/Btemp93/temporary_zpssaonsjhf.jpg http://i1377.photobucket.com/albums/ah78/Btemp93/temporary_zps3dijkg3y.jpg and finally to put it all together, This photo was too good not to share! http://i1377.photobucket.com/albums/ah78/Btemp93/temporary_zpsz6l7f17k.jpgI am really happy at how the servitors came out and I have finally given inscriptions a go, I'm going to have to go back and do all the other models now amn't I?Right, I don't have many more days at home to get things painted and I have quite a few different things to try and get done. If I put a list up could you tell me what I should try and get finished first? Motivation to get it done would also be appreciated! here are my options:- Assemble and greenstuff all of the Centurions- paint the zeal assault terminators- paint my honour guard units and assemble the forgeworld Templar HQ to use as Honor guard- paint some standard marines, command squad and a predatorThanks for your opinions! Psykic_scribe
My vote is for the last option - nothing like a large (or larger?) number of angry, ZEALous marines with supporting firepower on the table. You have an excellent HQ there already. Brother Christopher
Thanks for sharing, sir. These are some proud-looking Templars. Also, your work with the centurion ruined my day (again), as my thoughts strayed from proper work (i.e. not hobby-related) to converting my centurions. As for the recommendation... As I'm in a similar place as you are (minus the amazing pace of your progress), I'd say that you should go with the last option. But remember! There is nothing "standard" about Black Templars. They are all unique in their own way ;) And those Rhino APCs can't simply stand there, they need to be mounted by some angry, zealous knights!
