What happened to the wings of your Fire Raptor? It seems like they are almost horizontal, while the Fire Raptor kit has them at about a 30 degree angle. Or is it the picture?

Nope he deliberately did them like that. I think he preferred the wings like that as it looked more like a hawk hunting for prey

@Augustus b'rass- Allrighty I will post finally all the pics after work so give me 10 is hours from now, I've very much been lazy about it due to having nothing to do for the past 3 months but working and driving to Adelaide and back so I'll get a 2 part post done just for you, and the fire raptor was on purpose I will however get one more and build it in the traditional posing.

Those upper aileron tail thingies are probably easier to paint like that too.

I had an absolute pig of a time trying to paint mine with wyrm wings on them. Reminds me, it needs to get finished off :D

so another order in and these :cussing space wolves get more reinforcements (my brother better be greatfull) and ive got a :cuss load to post, now I managed to build a couple of kits as well but I thought I might as well start it off with something from left field; The Caestus Assault Ram or in other words the floating resin block, so quick overview kits looks great build is... relatively easy, the casting... I understand why they've reworked the mould multiple times.

The top of the crew compartment hull pieces, really need cleaning up on the main edges, this is going to cause gaps but can't seem to be corrected fully due to the piece not be warped but actually off angle.

I think these are known as aerofoiles (sp?) Not 100% positive but these are for slowing and directing this flying missile.

quality of the cast is good with no damaged chain teeth, flashing is a bit annoying but easily rectified

Having used kromlech products in the past I know they do give quality, and before you review it thoroughly check it over and don't be afraid to be negative if need be, I'll be the first to call forgeworld on their :cuss if need be so don't stress it too much and have fun with it

so overview time, now the best advice I can give Is be very careful, the resin on this thing is very thin in places and the resin gates are very finicky to remove! But most of all you need alot of epoxy, so let's get going.

so after removing all the pieces and giving them a a tidy up we begin our assembly.

so this is how we begin by gluing the interior door and placing the ramp in place, remember it's the same process for the other ramp section.

We then attach the roof section and have to be careful when trying to get these to line up.

just a quick note as you can see there's a bit of "rough" edging which will need tidying but it's not too bad.

This is the hardest part all I can recommend is time a good epoxy and an hour to kill, perhaps watch an anime or something.

then finally we attach the aerofoiles (sp?) And there you have it a Caestus Assault Ram. It's a good model easy enough to build but I will be gap filling in sections but that's the case with most if the bigger full resin kits, next up will be maybe more Weapons followed by more Tanks or something like that

love these pieces of projectile brutality, the Ammo canisters are bloody amazing and the whole design is sleek and deadly looking.

The Deimos plates, I love that they've casted the sponson armour onto this piece, I believe it would also help to stop warping so thanks forgeworld that's one less piece to attach.
