They won't. Primary reason being "personal preference". Once you start setting numbers in stone, certain individuals will feel compelled to have to make their army a specific way, instead of the way they want to.

I wish FW would give us a number of how common each suit was. -_-

You do realize that number could vary wildly from day to day depending on casualties.

I was thinking more like "60% of the legion would be wearing this suit at any given time" ect, but kol made a good point.

They would never be so specific. If they won't tell us how companies and chapters are specifically organized across the legions, things that effect model purchases are definitely out the door.

I admit that I am not a games designer and maybe I am not qualified to talk about games design. It just grates that they have stuck with a favoured few and not done much for the rest.

It is starting to feel like a FW pet project and they only want to focus on the stuff they like to do.

I know I am not the only one rustrated because their legion hasn't been covered yet, but it rankles to have the proposed book with the legions you really like in it, dangled in front of you and see it get pushed back and pushed back...

Then turn them the Sisters of Sience into small elite units or individual Culexus type models with a small null field around them, restrict the numbers so they aren't all over the board. The SoS were not an army or certainly not on Prospero. There were squads of them who were placed strategically throughout the 6th Legion to protect them

Make them a tactical tool, not an army in and of itself.

Custodes were also highly limited in number so do the same with them too, save tha actual army of Custodians to the Siege of the Emperors Palace, but make small squads which can be attached to loyalist armies, such as Arcatus and he 30 who went with Corax duting Deliverance Lost etc...

Prospero isn't being held up because of rules, its being held up because of models. There are Iron Havocs, Tyrant Siege Terminators, Dark Furies, Mor Deythan, Headhunters, Laerneaen Terminators, Locutarus Storm Squads, Fulmentarus Terminators, and a whole slew of Mechanicum units left to complete. Not to mention characters from books 1-5 that have yet to be done. Perturbabo, Alpharius, and Corax are all due for release this year as well. The Space Wolves will likely get their two special units, and some upgrade kits, but the Thousand Sons will require more intensive work on the model side. In addition to that, Custodes and Sisters of Silence will need starter ranges like the Solar Auxilia had.

This doesn't hold up im afraid, didn't they just release a new legion and primarch a very short while ago? This included specialist units and upgrades. Many other legion units are waiting completion as well.

I had also heard it was rules balance, but alas I will have a chinwag when I'm there sunday morning, and probably buying myself a laser destroyer vindicator because I'm obsessed with how good they are lol

Ok i have a better quesiton...

Could someone ask if the FW team has plans to make multiple models of certain characters that change throughout the heresy? For example, Loken has his sons of horus model, but will there be a model of him as a knight errant?

Or angron in daemon form, ect.

If I were designing the SoS and psykers in the setting I'd break rank and change the way the rules function on tabletop; whilst the Sisters are blanks, and immune to anything mind related, they'd burn all the same if a psyker tossed a fireball at them; or, alternatively dropped a boulder on them.

I'll admit I've not caught up on the fluff regarding the SoS and Prospero. Immunity to fear and whatnot just seems to make more sense.

FW already said they will make multiple models, atleast for Primarchs ...

Please remember, this is about a Forge World event, not coming up with rules for factions that don't exist yet.

this^^ it's great to see the excitement, but this thread should survive 'till sunday guys :P

we *should* get some informations about pre-sale stuff today, so stay tuned ^^

We or you

Where can i find an itinerary (if there is one) for the day?

There isn't an itinerary for the event - everything is available for the whole day. Typically the sales stand are busier in the mornings, and the cabinets / designer areas are busier in the afternoons, and Bugmans around lunch ;)

One thing that has been done previously is the Open Day Raffle, which has previously been a fully armed Reaver Titan (at the time the biggest thing they had) and all tickets sales going to charity. I hope this is still a thing this year, but with a Warlord now being available will it still be a Reaver?

Word of caution if you're buying tickets for the raffle (if it is still around this year) - you will need to be present at the end of the event in order to win. If you're not around when your number is drawn, they draw again, and keep going until they have a winner present.

Does that include the weather? We're experiencing a heat wave right now.

Right now In Quebec, its either DISGUSTINGLY SUPER WARM WITH 100% HUMIDITY! or RAIN! ALL DAY! WOOO! (not like Texas whose had raid for the past 50+ Days straight :P)

I'm really hoping for Corax sneak peek this time around. Last weekender/open day, I think it was M_R_Parker who talked to Simon Eagan and we made the assumption it was Corax he was talking about and how he got past a hurdle with the Mini.

Beyond that? Stormbird and Ordinatus please! OH AND LEGIT VOLKITE CULVERIN ARMS FOR CONTEMPTORS!
