The front access ramps sized while I was gap filling so I'll leave them sealed, once I get the MkIIb kit I'll finish it all.

I just took a family portrait of all the gear in my personal thread I'm thinking of adding the rusting and Weathering like I did for the drop pod

Update on the Red Marshal-

Not sure how I like his eyebrows, so they'll probably be redone. But I really like his soulpatch.

Also, my first freehand (aside from a lot of lightning on Night Lords). Didn't turn out half bad, in my opinion. I kinda ran out of space to write TEMPLAR, so that'll be redone, probably.

Also, everyone's stuff is totes looking great.

@ Kurama: Hope the chest gets better fella. I have to say you are changing my view on the Land Raider. I didn't think the horses on top would look that good, but you are winning me around. Its going to be a nice centerpiece for your army once done :)

@ The Psycho: The freehand looks pretty good, maybe you could use a very soft pencil and rough out boundary markers for each letter to help make sure they stay within bounds. If feeling daring you could also maybe draw them in with pencil and overlay with paint.

If you are going to paint, have you considered using a cocktail stick or wooden barbecue skewer to get that nice tight point for doing lettering. I have sometimes used a mechanical pencil with a very thin lead too.

Its how I did the runes on this chest panel

Alternatively sakura micron pens work really well too and they come in a range of sizes & thicknesses too.
Good work so far though thumbsup.gif

@ Kurama:

the ponies really turned out awesome so far^^ <3 can't wait for some battle-damage on the tanks tongue.png

@ The Psycho:

for the inscriptions, i know your problem, i usually try it out a few times on my paint-station before i paint the name. Also, i search the middle, write the middle letter there, than the last letter (in your case R), than the first, and than works towards the middle^^ (also a very thin brush, or if you can get your hands on one, an inscription brush really helps for that kind of work)

"...Late Crusade Umbra pattern bolters were used by the XVth legion - not overly superfluous like the Maximus pattern or brutal like Phobos - the pragmatic Umbra style fit the Thousand Sons mentality and stuck. The bolter fired the .60 caliber round found in the Maximus, but the weapon itself was resistant to corrosive conditions such as the desert and kicked up dust particulate. The Umbra was also uniquely suited to firing the "modified" bolt rounds artifices by the legion's sorcerers..."

So, funny thing happened today.

I was looking at the Red Marshal and thinking something along the lines of the following-

Well, since I'm gonna run the Battle Demi-Company, 'cause ObSec on everything is the dope, I won't have Crusader Squads. Therefore, my most reliable CC squad will be, obviously, my Assault Marines, and ol' Red is kitted out for CC. But he doesn't have a jump pack, which means he's censored.gif for going with them. Well, (taking out the trusty X-Acto) we can totes fix that.

TL;DR: This happened

Since a jump pack is another 15 points, is it too much to ask that it be added to my total?

(humming the theme to Space Battleship Yamato...) Is it named after Alexander the Great? And if it is... is the tank officer named Bucephalas?

I'm not using Google either. I'm a fan of the Anabasis of Alexander, a history of his campaigns into the Persian Empire.

I, Balthamal, accept my role in this.
I promise to lead the Legion and all who stand with us into the winds of war, and conduct them to glory.
I will do so no matter the ferocity or ingenuity of the foe.

The blood shared and bonds broken
I pledge my honor to the XX Legion and the Imperium Eternal.
On this matter, and by my True Name, I swear.

Hydra Imperious

Ok enough procrastinating. Going to start slow and gather momentum in the way of all great undertakings. This month shall be just a single model. A Primus Medicae for a measly 85pts
