Rossjk's Relictor Space Marines

I had a stack of leftover banners (got them for icons used on the tactical sarge backpacks), a heap of little plastic stones, and some spare bases not doing anything,

so...

objective markers! smile.png

I'll make up some roman numerals to go on top when I can get my hands on some plastruct rods...

------edit------
also had enough bits to convert one more honour guard for the squad...

Always love this thread! Where do you get your decals from?

Thanks Race smile.png

I downloaded the relictors decal template hosted on this site, and this place was able to print them including the white ink:

http://electricdesigns.co.nz they did an awesome job and can recommend them to anyone in NZ

These guys are awesome mate, I'm not sure if I have commented before. Really loving them.

The honour guard is looking the business.

Thanks Jim, the old command squad was bothering me and and these guys will be heaps better (and cheaper) in games now thumbsup.gif

We do need a full army shot now...

Can do, should get a chance tonight for a group shot thumbsup.gif

In the meantime here's the Chapter master with his captured/stolen bloodletter 'relic blade' :

here's all the infantry models finished so far, just 3x librarians and the 30th annversary marine to go.. then vehicles!! (and some inquisition on the side)

approx 2800 points worth here:

Thanks guys, the painting is a bit rough though!

The marine is all out of readily accessible tac-squad bits (leftovers in my case), but here's the gun recipe:

1. get a plasma gun and chop off the stock and the barrel tip at the end of the hand-hold (razorsaw ftw!!)
2. stick on a boltgun front end (cut just behind the skull icon), trim off the tab under the muzzle
3. slice the tubing off an immortal tesla cannon and stick on the side
4. chop the end off a deathmark gun, trim one side and stick on under the muzzle
5. any old scope on top.
6. profit?

Thanks 1k_eyes, the numbers were fiddly but not too stressfull..

Here's my latest conversion, the cataphractii captain from the BAC set - I really didn't like the original pose and loadout so he's now kitted out as a beastly melee tank devil.gif. The body works surprisingly well facing the other direction..

Undecided on what will go on the shield, maybe just a chapter logo and couple of purity seals. It's a pity there's no chaos themed thunder hammers... or are there??

That Cataphractii Captain is looking promising! As for chaotic thunder hammers, an easy way to create one would be to use one of the Age of Sigmar Wrathmongers' hammer heads on a loyalist thunder hammer arm. Some of the WFB/AoS Dragon Ogre weapons are also suitably chaotic replacements for a regular hammer (although they look more like maces).

Hope this helps! :)

thanks i'll check those out thumbsup.gif

I still have a gorgeous chaos sword left over which would make a great relic or flame blade.. I just don't know if I should use that over the thunderhammer game-wise?? (the sword would look better though!)
