Brotherhood of Iron - Bases for the Base God

Hey there,

after joining the forums two weeks ago and taking part in the liber challenge with the fluff for my Brotherhood of Iron (s. link in the signature) I thought some of you might be interested in the models.

The main idea is: Khorne Marines on Juggernauts! But not the "standard World Eater stuff", but a custom warband:

• mostly MKIII Armour
• Iron Hands Bits
• Iron Warriors Bits
• Chaos Bits
• custom saddles for the Juggernauts
• played by Codex: Space Wolves

Kidding aside they look great! Now I really want to see a massive cavalry battle between these guys and some proper Thunderwolves! Imagining something like the Rohirrim vs the Warg Riders in LotR.

I used stones that were left over from the screed of our neighbour:

I added some sand to it, put some PVA on the bases and trickled the mix onto the bases:

 

painting:

- black base coat

- calthan brown base and karak stone drybrush (don't remember if i used agrax earthshade inbetween...)

- single, bigger stones base adeptus battlegrey, drybrush astronimican grey
