Huh...!

I quite like the minimalist approach to those!

Every other tyrant you see has a huge missile launcher. Cool!

My thoughts exactly! Those Tyrants look amazing! I'm really hoping the official models are in line with these.

Those are some pretty nice Tyrants grand_master ! Thanks for the tip with those Missile launchers, I've been looking for some smaller ones myself for quite a bit of time, so I might have to pick some of these up... I think I'll be able to wait for FW's official models first though to compare first.

I wonder what these would look like on Tartaros terminator armour ? I'd really like to see how Tartaros Tyrant's would work on the battlefield (despite knowing that the rules don't allow that :( )

They would be able to fire overwatch... Which would be horrible for the poor sods who charge them and get peppered with Krak missiles.

Quick update, felt like my TS rhino needed jazzing up. Added a quick white stripe on the hatch doors just to give it some colour. Also knocked up a quick Delegatus too, nothing particularly special. Not sure I like the white shoulder pads, mind. Might paint the Legion symbol gold instead, that might sort it.

Hopefully, the TS Contemptor I preordered should be here in just over a week, so looking forward to painting that up. Was at Warhammer World over the weekend for an Escalation campaign (been using m Shattered Legions to great effect) and treated myself to some MK III TS pads and the Praetor's pack, so I'll be working on my next Veterans squad and also the chap at the very end who will be a Librarian as soon as the Siege Tyrants are done.

The rhino looks ace the stripe suits it. It can mayne get embellished some more if a transfer sheer comes out.

As for the delegatus, he looks cool too, but the white pads make me think of an apothecary. Might need a dustpan & brush if he is post-rubric :D

Yeah I think that's what it is lol. I thought the white, as a sort of Veteran status a la the examples for the Ultramarines using reversed colours on their pads in Tempest, would be okay. The red on my Delegatus is much brighter than anything I've painted so far, bar the Sicaran Venator. I realised that instead of trying to mix various reds, that the Mephiston Red spray works a treat and requires a lot less effort.

@Excessus - barely anything! It's the panel lining stage that helps. Once all my basecoats and layers are done, I gloss the whole mini. Once dry, I tend to cost the whole thing in AK Interactive panel liner oils. Give it 20 mins or so to dry, and then use white spirits on a cotton bud to wipe away the excess from the recesses (there tends to be a lot!). Whilst I do this, I drag the bud over the armour plates which leaves a nice grimy film I top and darkens/dulls the colours, whilst leaving a dusty brown in the recesses to shade it. Then I apply any weathering powders and use the glorious Testors Dullcote to take the shine away from the gloss varnish

Hope that helps. Sounds fiddly but it's a really easy process that requires barely any highlighting or shading from me

I actually really like the white pauldrons, it could definitely be used to represent Veterans or whatever you feel like. When I think Apothecarion, I think white pauldron with a red stripe. It's good to see some variation in the Legion scheme.

@Nineswords - easy peasy! Get a Charnabal Sabre from the MK IV power weapons set and dip the blade part into boiling water (watch your fingers). Leave it for a good 10 seconds or so, and then just bend it into shape. You'll have to be relatively quick though, it'll harden again after a few seconds. If you want to do a few, have a look at eBay sellers, I had to bulk buy them just to get it right lol.

@DuskRaider - cheers! It's one of those things where I like it one minute, then I'm unsure the next. I'll stick to it for various Veterans and I'll use a gold symbol perhaps for captains or command squads.

Almost finished my Thousand Sons Praetor/Librarian chap. Just need to finish his base now, and tidy up some of the gold bits that have the red showing through. I'll probably use him as a Siege Breaker for now till the rules come out (using his magicky ways to guide those heavy weapons). I quite like the white shoulder pads, they add a nice bit of colour.

It could almost be Ignis, a Master of Ruin (seige breaker?) in Ahriman: Sorceror and Unchanged! You just need to add a Domitar or similar :D

The contemptor and the rest of your models look ace. The white does look out of place in standalone shots, but when he is next to the rest of your force, he the lascannons look right at home color-wise.
