+Betrayal at Calth: Conversions and Ideas for the New Box+

Not OSL-level glowy eyes, but I am partial to the image of lenses lighting up when the helmet is active, like this.

Anyhow, it's all a matter of personal taste msn-wink.gif It just felt like it would fit well on the great grey of the armor.

A praetor without some kind of power weapon seems weird. Otherwise he looks great already, but with paint he would be even better.

Both my Death Guard and Word Bearers Praetors use chain weapons as Paragon Blades. I think they work VERY well and look brutal to boot. Just look at the Chain Fist, they're used to cut through bulk heads.

I just never figured a Paragon blade would not be a power weapon (given its stats), but you are right, FW explicitly allows chain weapons. The Praetors look awesome. How do you plan on doing the missing pteruges on the claw arm of the B@C Praetor? GS?

What is that thing that hangs from the FW Praetor's arm with the volkite pistol?

Yeah, I'm going to try and green stuff the pteruges and see if I can do it any justice... I suck at sculpting.

The stuff hanging off the Death Guard Praetor is cabling hooked up to two oxygen tanks from the FW Berserker Ogryn. According to his background, he betrayed his brother on Isstvan III. In the ensuing duel, he fell his sibling, but in the end took an overcharged plasma pistol to the sternum area, which obliterated his lower mandible, a good portion of the upper, severed his left arm, and perforated his lungs and primary heart. At this point, his armour has become his life support system and is more or less permanently interred in it.

Here's a pic from the rear

Frostblades are chainswords made with kraken teeth and count as more powerful power weapons, and though I'm not sure about their rules, Angron's axes are made with micadragon teeth, so chainweapons can cut through power armor.

still needs some gs for head (the whole other half lol) and for the left arm because I was a bit over enthusiastic in cutting down his arm to fit..

What do you guys think?

So at long last, I have finally come up with some tweaks that make the - very vanilla - Cataphractii a bit more interesting and make them fit my idea of World Eaters terminators, with their eventual allegiance to Khorne already being hinted at without being stated outright:

As you can see, the models use some bitz from the Age of Sigmar Bloodreavers for a slightly more feral look. Oh, and I have also added the iconic horsehair topknots from the old Heresy artwork, because they are such a huge part of the whole Cataphractii concept for me, even if that element has fallen by the wayside in FW's designs.

Made a lascannon contemptor mortis, using 2 multi melta arms and replacing the barrels with lascannons from the 40k centurions

Simple and effective! Got a side shot?
